my best tank was 730 mils at 60.1MPG and it took 13.5 gallons to fill, second pump click. All city driving where I know all the lights timing. max speed 40 MPH, and 0 use of break pads except for the final 3 mph to stop. The actual math doesn't work. I was in a contest with my friend for MPG's. He won at 60.9 MPGs

I believe total is total. I read it literally when it says you have traveled 480 miles and there are 120 miles left to E. Naturally that can change quickly if you get on a high way and go 80 mph. Mine is about 40 months old. I keep a diary of fill ups. At 3 years I figured the old fashioned way, how many miles how much gas and then I was like 43.5 overall. I rarely get on a highway.

Not sure I understand your comment. That has happened before!!!😃Do you think the 619.3 shown on the display does not include electric miles; it says TOTAL miles.........?? If I add them then the OP is over 912 miles for the tank. 54.88 mpg which is well over his display and seems hard to do because he averaged less than 25 mph, per the display, so he must have done a whole lot of town driving. I realize hybrid is great in town, but this seems too good to be true. If the display total includes electric, which I think it does, I can subtract those and the ICE engine got only 19.6 mpg. Feel free to point out the errors in my thinking, my wife certainly does!!!:teehee:

Call it 326 miles divided by 14 gallons
23.28 mpg

The Hybrid sanction, :’P
619 moles divided by 14 gallons
45 mpg

OUTSTANDING !

FWIW I had a couple of brewskies in me so my math may very well be all iffy.

So, it was indeed 5 o'clock somewhere and looking at the time it was indeed North Carolina. Actually, your response after a couple of brewsies is not too bad. I am a little bit worried about those 619 moles you divided by 14 gallons.o_O If you lit up the gas to get them divided up, it may be considered cruelty to animals!!!!;)😜 Keep it between the ditches!!!!!!

it looks like I tapped into my reserve tank as well. The pump stopped around the 14.3 gal mark. I usually wait around 15 secs and do a final top off for an extra 50 cents. This time it just kept going and going to the point I had to look under the truck to make sure I wasn't spilling gas on the ground. It took almost 2 minutes after the initial stop to fill up completely.

Not supposed to go past first cutoff . Read Manuel’s. Hope it will be okay for you 👍🛻

As prior posts have shown - bad pump calibration due to math it seems.

That bad of a pump, probably also had bad auto-shutoff.

We've likely all seen it - if we stand there and listen to the sounds.
The obvious click-off when it's actually no where near normal sound of full.
Going to 2nd click having that much extra just proves the point.
Due to tank design, it's only the neck getting filled when actually full.

Because I don't always stand right there and listen (checking oil, and now oil cap), I can do a 2nd click that ranges from mere cents because it was correctly right there, to a lot more when it's not actually close and just sensitive sensor.
In which case I'm listening then, and can hear the difference.

There is still a decent range between 2nd click auto-shutoff, and topping off constantly past the clicks trying to get more and more in until almost overflowing.
