Hello! New 26 AWD Hybrid owner (plus... mod log)

26 AWD Hyrbid Lariat, Azure Grey, 4k tow, power rear window. Picked it up friday. Traded in a subaru forester. First time I've ever owned a truck, so the mav seemed like an appropriate gateway drug. Very happy to be getting nearly 60% better MPGs so far, and I expect that'll only improve as the engine breaks in a bit more. Love the way it rides, and how all-around comfortable it'll be as a daily. I've been silently stalking the forum here to figure out what I wanted to snag for early mods - there's a lot of great info here.

So far, I have installed the basic quality-of-life stuff:
- soft open glovebox strut
- soft open tailgate strut
- center console organizer
- Nissan frameless auto-dimming mirror with homelink
- Viofo A229 dash cam (the front part only, will to the rear when I have more time)

On the way:
- Fifteen52 Traverse MX 17" wheels + 245/65-17 michelin defenders if anyone wants my OEM wheels and/or tires, they'll be up for sale shortly!
- Floor liners (once I figure out which ones to get)
- roll-up soft tonneau (ditto on figuring it out)
- Forscan to adjust the tire size, and who knows what else....
- Mabett covers for the rear wheel wells and bumper cutout for the hitch

- Rough Country Cargo Storage Box
- rubber bed mat

For the floor liners, I’d suggest TuxMats. They are far by far best I’ve had. I have weathertechs in my f150 and husky’s in my wife’s suv. They don’t come close.

I'm in North Texas, but I get crazy good FedEx ground rates through work. Shipping's very much an option, as long as you're not in Alaska, Pureto Rico, or Hawaii. Admittedly - rims alone are probably easier than rims and tires together.

Benny is a "kitchen sink" dog. Rescued him last year. He was apparently found in the middle of a field in Laredo. We think he's a beagle / staffy / yorkie mix . He's mastered the beagle howl, but tracks / hunts critters like a terrier.

The forester was my 5th Subaru - i previously had an a 98 forester, '02 WRX wagon, an '06 Legacy GT wagon, an 18 outback (gave its life for me at the hands of a F150 that ran a red light), and then the Forester, which was a very frustrating COVID used car buy. It was great for what it was, but never really as fun as the others. I modded the 98 into a canyon carver, with a bunch of WRX handling / braking upgrades.

stock mats - I got carpet, front only. I’m used to all weather mats with some lip to protect them. Can’t seem to keep my shoes clean, lol.

I forgot about the little tailgate wire cover. I installed one of those too.

and the folks at realtruck just shipped a gator roll up tonneau and an in-bed cargo box my way. I think that’ll do it for my daily hauling needs for now.

might see about the diode dynamics hitch light, but need to decide what I’m doing for bicycle hauling first. If I get a hitch rack instead of a tailgate pad, I’ll probably skip the diode light.

my Subaru had a set of diode dynamics Ss3 driving lights installed in place of the fogs. I’m keen on a kit to either add something similar to the mav, or maybe some grill-mounted projector dogs lights instead. TBD there. The stock lariat headlights are a lot better than I expected, but you can’t have enough (safely aimed) light at night!

Realtruck’s shipping was crazy quick. Gator cover installed in about 30 min, including me adjusting the side rail height a second time. Great instructions, and looks to be well made!

Nice Rig. love the color. I really wanted this color when I got my 2024, but could not find an XLT lux with it.
As to floor mats I went with Lasfit on Amazon. They fit perfectly. I have Weather Tech in my Ram 1500 and Lasfit seems very comparable.
I see you have a dog. I got the Maybett Dog Seat Covers for the rear seat. Works really well. I have also put on an A.R.E. cap and a rubber bed mat. Not the pups ride in the back. No more Dog hair in the cab. Also I use it on road trips to protect the rear seat from the ice chest I put back there.

Another accessory I got was the Maxine Hood Water Barrier. This goes under the hood to keep crap from ending up in the wheel wells. We have a lot of maples and the seeds and leaves find their way everywhere.

Other than that, looks like you have it covered.

Well… might be getting some NVH from the tonneau. Gonna try to use some foam tape on the rails and the crossbars to see if that solves it.hopefully a pretty easy fix.

Also look for at "Hecho In Mexico" badges for the tailgate.
