The Maverick selling 7% over MSRP right now? This is the biggest BS.
Wow, the media nowadays is unbelievable. I got my wife's 25' for almost 4k below MSRP. Granted it was a 25 but I am sure the 26' can be bought below MSRP as well. Who would pay above MSRP nowadays?

I don't buy that, having shopped around in December and getting pricing on many Lariats and a couple of XLTs. The worst deal that I got was $250 below sticker, and my purchased Lariat was $3300 below sticker. The 2026's weren't out yet.
That being said, I will say that Mav buyers don't have the leverage of buyers buying a bigger Ford as our trucklers are popular. Time on the lot was usually always less than 60 days.

I was able to negotiate a 1.5% below MSRP when I purchased my 2025 Lariat AWD Hybrid…

Keep in mind, that was December. You typically get the best deals at the end of the year as they are trying to clear out older models. January and February usually are the worst time to buy a new vehicle.

That hasn't been my experience. It's winter (in places that have it like here in PA) and not good lot weather, and people are being hit with their Christmas bills, dealers are more desperate to get rid of previous year's model, and peeps don't have tax returns yet. That being said, had I waited til January for the Mav (and the semi-unicorn model I got was still available) the Ford "Last Days" 1k discount wouldn't have been available, but I would have been able to beat the dealer down more. At least that's been my experience with my last 3-4 Fords.

I bought mine used with 2500 miles on it from another old fart. This after visiting 3 stealers who all wasted my time and tried to screw me. Never again will I buy from a crooked stealer.

Once in a while you find a decent one - but it is rare. That is one of the reasons why I never visit a dealership. I get already goosebumps when I see these sharks lurking at the entrance area and then approach me with the sleezy attitude. Usually request OTD prices from dealers by mail. Or go straight to either of the two trustworthy ones (Granger or McArthur). Well worth the few bucks for a airplane ticket and gas.

When I bought my 2025, I got the "Friends and Family" deal that was going on last April and a decent price on my trade in (that they tried to bump down by $1,000 due to F&F.....nice try, NOT) ....today's shoppers don't want to go in and haggle over pricing (which I love to do) and that is the reason the dealer will "knock it out of the park" so to speak when they can, because they can. If you think you would save $$ buying direct from the manufacturer...guess again...they will do the same thing.

Kids these days I tell ya.....

Key Benefits of Using a Broker
1. Saves Time and Hassle
  • Broker handles dealer outreach, price negotiation, and paperwork coordination
  • No visiting multiple dealerships or enduring sales pressure
  • Useful if you’re busy or dislike negotiating
2. Access to Better Pricing (Sometimes)
  • Brokers often have pre-negotiated fleet or volume pricing
  • They know which dealers are motivated to move inventory
  • Can avoid common dealer add-ons and markups
Especially valuable in tight markets or for high-demand vehicles
3. Reduced Negotiation Stress
  • Broker negotiates on your behalf using market data
  • Avoids emotional or high-pressure sales tactics
  • Clear, upfront pricing is common
4. Wider Vehicle Search
  • Can source vehicles outside your local area
  • Helpful for rare trims, specific colors, or limited-availability models
  • May arrange shipping or coordinate long-distance pickup
5. Transparency and Advocacy
  • Broker works for you, not the dealership
  • Incentives are usually aligned with getting you the best deal quickly
  • Some brokers review contracts and dealer fees to catch issues
6. Lease Expertise (Big One)
  • Very strong advantage if leasing
  • Brokers understand:
    • Money factors
    • Residuals
    • Manufacturer incentives
  • Can structure leases far better than most consumers or dealers

Must be regional. All the incentives from Ford here were in December, they are gone now.

My 2024 Lariat, I got it for $1,800 below sticker. Mine even had the $700 up charge for the paint color. I will say that burned my biscuits a little

Ordered my xlt hybrid on Sept. 3rd, 25 and got it Dec. 5th and paid $1050.00 below sticker. So far it's been great, 2350 miles on it now and still learning how everything works.
