Never heard of the Maverick PU

I must have been living under a rock these last few years but until a month ago I never heard of the Maverick PU. Sure I heard of the Maverick car of the 70s but not this. I've been driving a Ram1500 Laramie Crew Cab w/6'4" bed for the past ten years. Since I no longer really needed something so large that averaged around 12 mph (99% local driving) I started looking for something with good fuel economy. Searching for options I came across the hybrid Maverick and it was love lol. This does everything I need in a very efficient and practical way. 3 weeks later I bought a 2025 XLT hybrid w/co-pilot, lux package in Ruby Red metallic. My RAM drove like the Mercedes Ml suv I traded in for it and still did 10 years later. The Maverick doesn't drive quite as smoothly but I have no complaints with how it drives. So happy I found it and the board.

Me too - only Maverick I knew was the 1970’s edition.

Started looking for a pickup in 2025 with the lowest possible tailgate & re-discovered the Maverick as a truck

Being a "Ranger" fanboy, myself. I never looked past the 2019's offerings.
Saw my First Maverick at the Dealership on a Friday. (December 2022).
"Schooled" myself on them over the weekend.
And over the next week... Searched Online, put down a deposit, Searched again and had bought mine "Out-of-State" and brought it home by that Saturday.(Dec. 17th, 2022)..

We should be hitting a half million sold late spring or early summer. At the end of 2025, we were up to 455,000 sold, increasing at 15,000 a month.

I street light raced a Mavbrid back in October. My Ecoboost easily pulled away.

Took my 2004 escape in for an oil change.
I was behind a Mav and they had eleven on the lot last week.

There were about 91 million vehicles purchased in 2025. I bet 90 million of those buyers never heard of the Maverick pickup.

At this time... I counted online, as there being ONLY FIVE Maverick's available in the Milwaukee (MKE) Metro area...

Not necessarily - if you weren't looking specifically for it, you might've seen a few in your travels and dismissed it as a Ranger since it looks like a conventional pickup truck....

Most folks just see another pickup truck. Can’t distinguish one brand from another let only the model.

My brother “loves” my Mav. He’s a car collector so he heard the name “Maverick” and had a totally different reaction (not a positive one). He “thinks” he had never seen one… but now that he is very interested, he sees them all the time.
