12Volt Pre-wired Connections in Bed - No Power?

I added a USB Charging Port to one of the 12-volt pre-wired connections in the bed of my 23 Lariat EB. It only has power when the engine is running or when the key is in the Accessory Mode. I can find nothing in the manual that addresses how long these outlets are supposed to stay on when the vehicle has been turned off. I have seen references on this site and elsewhere that state there is a factory preset time frame ranging from 15 minutes to 75 minutes for these outlets. In my case the power goes off as soon as the headlight delay turns off (set to 10 seconds now). I have read the manual from end to end and sat in the truck and gone through all of the settings to see if there is a toggle for enabling the system when the vehicle is off. So far, no luck. The 120 volt plug next to the pre-wired 12-volt outlet also goes off immediately when the truck is turned off. Oddly the bed light located between these two outlets is always powered on and controlled by the switch below it.

The questions are:
1. Is there a pre-set timeframe that controls power to these outlets after the vehicle is turned off? If so, where is the toggle to turn it On/Off?
2. If there is no toggle can the Dealer or someone with Forscan skills set up the ability to keep power available to these out lets when the vehicle is off

You can change it in FORScan there is no switch

You might want to check to see if your truck is going into sleep mode.

Looking at your truck, you have an eco-boost...my question is "do you really want to drain your one and only battery by leaving the port with power "on" once your engine is off"?

If you plug something into the 12 volt socket with your engine off, it could drain your 12 volt starter battery quite quickly...this is not like a hybrid with a larger LI battery to leave turned on and not draining the 12 volt battery.

The 120 volt outlet goes out quickly as well for the same reason...so you don't drain your 12 volt starter battery.

I can already "hear the howls" and complaints here if these ports were not turned off quickly due to accidental battery drain. result being some people being stranded because they left their coolers plugged in at the back.

Just a thought, as you have your use case in mind where it might be beneficial to you and you wouldn't be stranded.

Thanks! Can a Dealer do that or do I need to find someone with Forscan skills to get it changed. I will only be using these outlets to charge a phone, or I Pad no more than once a day. Also, my battery is in excellent shape with no low voltage issues (I had the Dealer check it a few months ago). Charging a phone for about an hour, once a day, shouldn't cause to much drain. In fact, the devices I installed have Volt Meters built in so I can monitor battery drain in real time.

Not likely you can find a dealer willing to do it.

Check out the multiple how to use FORScan threads in MTC. If you’re moderately tech savvy it’s not hard to do.

If you have a windows laptop you can use the trial version with a OBDII connected cable or Bluetooth dongle.

You could ask a dealership if it’s possible to change the setting with their software.

In addition to the time out timer, the power may turn off with the key if the battery is not up to Ford's required state of charge. I find that if my Mav is not driven frequently, both the auto stop/start will not function and the power points will turn off with the key.

That may be my problem. After three years I barely have 15,000 miles on it. The Auto Stop/Start only works after I have driven a few hundred miles straight. I guess I may need to go on a road trip before I start messing with FORSCAN.

Put it on a trickle charger overnight and you'll get both features back for a while. I find about 25 miles a day seems to be enough to keep them going, but once they drop, it takes a long drive or another charge.
