I have a 2024 Hybrid, an OBDLink MX+ OBD adapter, OBD Link SW, OBD Fusion SW, and soon Forscan SW. I'm interested in monitoring all the aspects of both the 12 volt system battery and the high voltage battery. I am looking for folks that have been down this road already and can share the best PIDs to monitor in order to really understand what the vehicle is doing from a battery point of view and also tp profile my high voltage battery over its lifetime and see how my battery stacks of to the norm.

Anybody ou there willing to share their best set of PIDs to montitor?

Thanks

Hi Matt, I bought a 2025 Maverick Hybrid and have been experiencing electrical issues, including two dead batteries. They replaced the batteries, but I've had no luck so far in finding the source of the drain. My issue seems to be the gas gauge, temp gauge, and the PRND all light up well after the truck has been turned off. I stand next to the truck to make sure everything goes out. I've tried to find a way to see battery life/function but have not been able to. This light sometimes, but not always, and it goes below zero when I apply the brakes. Any suggestions on how I can get the displays that show battery info all the time, like some of the other replies? Any suggestions on what's causing this problem?
Thanks
Bill

For monitoring my battery, MY24 Hybrid Lariat w/AGM battery, I use a BM6 Battery Monitor/Tester.

Amazon.com: Car Battery Tester Automotive,Wireless Bluetooth 4.0 Battery Monitory BM6 12V Auto Cranking and Charging System Test Scan Tool Digital Battery Alternator Analyzer for Car Truck Motorcycle : Automotive

The pictures below were taken with the truck off and the key fob left in the house, so the truck does not need to be started to monitor. You just need to be close enough for Bluetooth on your phone to talk to the BM6.

On your phone you can look back 1, 3 or 5 days for SOC/Temp/Voltage. You can also export your data for a deeper dive if desired. Hope this helps.

Can I ask if these were pids included in the app price, or do you need to buy the Maverick specific pids for these?

Downloaded and included with the app along with what seems like hundreds of other PIDs. There are whole categories of extended, Ford specific PIDs that were offered for download if you wanted them. Of course, I took advantage of all the available downloads. The biggest issue is deciding which ones you want to use.

I think the most fascinating one is the 12v amps which gives you a lot of insight into the charging rate/algorithm for the 12v battery. You’ll quickly realize how crappy and insufficient the recharge algorithm really is.

Thanks. I downloaded it and bought the Ford specific PIDS, but yeah there are A LOT...the one you mentioned is definitely one I will want to use.
