Thanks for the confirmation. Their website is confusing. In the Things to Know section it has two different statements about satellite radio that made me cautious. Screenshot attached.

You're misunderstanding. Infotainment is explaining that you can use Sirius XM two ways. You can use it via the embedded native platform or by using your phone via Android Auto. You can also do that with currently with Sync 3.

Yep I realize that now. It confused me at first. I saw the first line but not the second. Knowing this is sirius capable and with the price point coming down, this is a much more appealing kit. I still hesitate since it comes up so much higher above the top of the dash. Not sure I would like that look. If there’s an additional Black Friday deal coming I may try it so I can at least see it in my truck for myself before installing. They have a 30 day return policy so if I think it looks too big I can always return it.

I would never get the 12" screen. It looks ridiculous. Like a 72" flat screen tv in a 12x8 living room. I will be going for the sync 4 upgrade but keeping my current screen. With the $150 trade in it comes to $850.

I forgot to mention. My Maverick is a Lariat model. It came with factory satellite radio from factory.

I'm not sure if the XL and XLT come with satellite radio, which would require you to purchase a satellite radio antenna.

I would contact the seller directly just to be sure you have everything needed.

I thought the same thing when I saw online pictures. I thought it was too massive.

In person it looks aesthetically pleasing. I have family members with the new Toyota Tacoma and Tesla Model 3 that have a head unit that looks much bigger and out of place compared to this one.

I think the size is perfect and it's a big improvement over the original head unit.

I can attest that you will not lose Satellite radio if your Maverick already came with Satellite radio before upgrading the head unit.

I posted some pictures below to prove it. The first picture is Satellite radio with the factory Sync system, and a second picture showing Satellite radio via Android Auto.

Any chance you could share the total width and height measurements including the bezel?

Well folks, I may have lost my mind, but I’ve taken the plunge and ordered while it was still on sale for Black Friday/cyber Monday. $1,519 before taxes. They were also nice enough to give me the extended one year warranty since I couldn’t use the Maverick Trick Club discount with it already being on sale. Once I get it and install it, I will post some pics and my thoughts about it and the install.

Thought I would give an update. Two weeks later, and this kit still has not shipped. I’ve received an email each week apologizing for the delay and saying they’re working on it. But no firm reasons for the hold up and even less clarity on how much longer this is going to take. I must admit, my confidence in Infotainment is starting to waver. It’s feeling like I’m going to end up having to cancel the order and get refunded.

Other third parties that sell the kit for a few hundred less also have long wait times. Buyers reported 3+ month wait times.

I understand you are anxious to receive your unit, but be patient. It's likely delayed due to people taking time off for the holidays, but I am confident you will not be disappointed. I encourage you to focus on more important things, like your family and pets, while you wait.

From what I was told, I was the first buyer to receive the unit from the vendor (OEM Plus). The initial unit was buggy and missed a few features as the software was still being tweaked. Everything was quickly resolved, and the unit has been great. Because I was the "guinea pig," everyone is now receiving the unit with those software quirks already ironed out.

Ultimately, the unit has made me love my Maverick even more. Just hang in there.

Quick update. I installed the kit. Removing the cables from the original ACM was a royal pain but I finally got it. Once installed there are a couple of issues I am working with customer service to fix. Once things are settled I will post a full review. I sure hope the issues can be fixed though because I love this screen! It’s what Ford should have put in to begin with or at least what they should have put in with the 2025 update since it would have allowed keeping the manual controls for radio and HVAC
