I got mine from Panda for 1200,the only difference i see might be built in navigation.Mine has it thru android auto or carplay. It shows the map for navigation but you can't use it.Most people i know don't use it anyway.
I think not having the built in Nav work would impact resale/trade-in significantly. I use CarPlay, but there are situations where one can’t get a cell signal. And for me personally, not having it would make me more wary of the aftermarket kit. Having said all of that, $2,400 still seems crazy to me.

It's definitely a personal preference.I don't do a lot of traveling and have never lost a cell signal for more than a few minutes. I've had more issues with Sync 3 than Sync 4 and so far my Sync 4 system has worked great I'm not having the issues some guys are it was just hook it up and everything worked also I thought 1200 was a fair price as I seen them as high as 3000 last year.I get it though if built-in Navigation is important the kit is probably not for you.

I'm not sure about the Navigation affecting the trade in value as I don't think any 22 thru 24 Mavericks had it.My 22 still has a trade in value that is crazy high.Having a Lariat that's loaded i have no interest in getting rid of it seems like it has better options than the new ones as I got it before ford started taking options away from it.

I have a 2024 Lariat Hybrid and it has built in navigation.

This upgrade does intrigue me even though it’s still too expensive. Two more questions come to mind. The 12” screen comes up a lot higher than the standard one on the model years prior to 2025. I wonder if that poses any issues with the passenger airbag deployment and more likely any issues with visibility when looking diagonally from the driver’s seat to the front passenger corner of the truck??

The main issue it causes is how ugly it is and how it doesn't go with the rest of the interior design. It would be great if they could have an upgrade to an 8" HD screen without the cubby.

In this thread and another thread regarding the sync upgrades, there are three companies being mentioned. Panda Motorworks, OEM and Infotainment. Infotainment is the only company offering a true OEM upgrade where you don't go backward and lose some function(s).

Panda and OEM have the following issues:

- "...with update: You see a map but you can’t put a destination in to route to it. Sync 4 requires a subscription paid for navigation and there’s no way to pay for it on a Maverick." (per OEM)

- ."... the factory NAV will be lost, as it is subscription based and Ford cannot validate it after the update. We do note this in the product description". (per Panda)

- Sirius/XM will be lost unless you purchase a new $100 antenna (per Panda)

- "The vehicle will update, but the sync 4 APIM won’t. Ford will not recognize the APIM so it will not try to update it ." (per OEM)

- You may lose some function control(s) from the steering wheel. (per OEM)

Infotainment guarantees that you will not lose any of your current functions. In addition, they already have excellent how to install videos on their web site. The choice seems obvious.

That all makes sense. But I thought someone said you lost Satellite radio with infotainment too?? Did I misread that?

Ill ask and report back.
I can attest that you will not lose Satellite radio if your Maverick already came with Satellite radio before upgrading the head unit.

I posted some pictures below to prove it. The first picture is Satellite radio with the factory Sync system, and a second picture showing Satellite radio via Android Auto.

Thanks for the confirmation. Their website is confusing. In the Things to Know section it has two different statements about satellite radio that made me cautious. Screenshot attached.

One more thing. Price on website has dropped to $1,519.96. Website shows original price as $1,899.95. Not sure where the $2,400 came from on the first several replies on this thread.
