so many folks find ways to make these relatively inexpensive vehicles more expensive.

I have a 2025 XLT built in July and it does not have that exposed area that I can see.

I just installed passenger and driver side kick plates for my 25 MAV. I didn't realize how much wire was exposed until I went to install the plates. Pretty crazy that Ford couldn't even put a piece of plastic on either side.

At least @Maxzina is providing alternatives. Anyways, I'm really happy with how the install went and how much they actually cover.

I was a little concerned because I noticed some 25s having issues with the install but those were Lobos and tremors I believe

Anyways for the price well worth it and very happy with it as well .

I also posted a quick video on Tik Tok so feel free to check that out and share with whoever.

Does it block the OBD port?

i got these a few weeks ago. driver's side installed fine. passenger side wouldn't, the screw holes are too far apart. contacted maxzina, they said i must have had a defective passenger plate, sent me a whole new set. guess what, same issue.

not sure if it's just my model (2025, lariat, hybrid) or what. but i have an extra driver's plate and 2 passenger plates i can't use. has anyone with the same model gotten the passenger plate to fit?

honestly, not super impressed with the plate anyway. turns out my size 11 foot likes the little extra room it can reach up into. if i'm not careful the front of my shoe can easily bump into the plate.

That's crazy, I have size 15 shoes with zero issues. I think the Lobo, Tremor and Lariat all have the same style. Just my opinion but I did hear that as well.
Good luck!

Exactly what I was thinking. I wear size 13 and I’ve never bumped into anything under the dash with my foot that made me think there wasn’t enough space or that there were obstacles up under there that need to be fixed.

My point exactly.
To hit those you'd have to kick well above the the pedals. Anyways point made and taken.
Thanks for sharing 😊

Whatever works. My truck sits in the driveway in the country and mice are always looking for a new nesting place, so not so much for me (no offense). I routinely check the cabin filter, spray the firewall and other intake areas with mint/eucalyptus mixed with water and witch hazel to keep the mice out. The plate looks like a great place for mice and would mask their activity if they get into the truck.

Not really. There's a huge gap around it, it's at a pretty steep angle, and it's very slick. Even walking on it I'm pretty sure they'd be slipping and sliding down. Easy enough to tap-kick every morning and spook 'em.

I dont have this plate, I dont think this will protect wiring from anyone being a normal human in the front seat.

But what I have seen is people cramming all their food shopping in the passenger footwell & seat...if this exposed deep under the dash was passenger side I think I would cover it,
but for the driver side??

I got mud flaps, a hard cover for the bed, a thick aluminum skid plate, & a shielding plate for the hole above the exhaust baffles,
but this I just cannot contrive a way this will protect unless my imaginary teen driver goes driving with water-filled shoes that pop & squirt on the drive.

I guess from the perspective "it doesn't hurt anything so maybe it could help something", spend your money on it if it somehow gives you peace of mind, but to me its a solution looking for a problem.

Alot of stuff I still wanna buy & this not one -- or it is so deeply far down the list I would need to inherit $1mil
