So on my first oil change visit at the dealership I ordered a set of wipers. I didn't have them install as I can do that do for free. I noticed after install that the wipers given to me were not only a different design but both were 1" shorter. Anyone else notice anything like this? Also yesterday after driving in heavy rain I got a random LOW WASHER FLUID warning but I've never used the washer fluid and while it's not 100% full, it's definitely not empty. Overall tho, still loving the truck!

Oops, took it to the dealer! They probably gave you the wrong blades for it. Over 50 years of car ownership, I have had 100% failure rate at dealerships for parts and service. I only go to one if it's a warranty thang. Even then, I've had to go back multiple times until they got it right.

The low windshield fluid warning is a known problem. It’s a faulty sensor. Take it to the dealer. They’ll replace the sensor.
I didn't realize that, thank you!

I've never had issues with dealerships, mine has always been aftermarket shops that don't do the job right 🤷‍♂️ not to say they didn't screw up, obviously they did

Next time order your wiper blades on rock auto. Motorcraft brand but cheaper

To be honest I always use Bosch wipers but being only my 2nd new car purchase ever I thought I'd try the dealer. Not to mention I'm an affiliate of the dealership so I get employee pricing. Lesson learned tho, the wipers work fine. Definitely will be shopping elsewhere next time

Yes I've also found replacement wipers to be slightly shorter than stock. They're good though as long as they reach high enough on the windshield to wipe in front of the camera eye.

Do you have the part# for the passenger blade you received? I actually want a slightly shorter blade so I can drop it a little further into the cowl. Thanks!
Hmm....I might 🤔 I'll take a look when I get home

Do we need to buy a whole wiper blade or can you just swap with blade inserts? thanks.

The ones I bought were replacement wiper blades, not sure if inserts are an option

Some have reported reversing the direction the insert. Seems like they had to change a clip or something. Maybe search this site

Ford wiper blades are a bit unusual. The OEM driver-side blade, part #WW-2249, is listed by Ford as a 22-inch blade, but it's actually closer to being 23 inches long. Most 22-inch replacement blades are closer to being 21.5 inches long.

Based on a recommendation from this forum I tried Aero wiper blades. Been on almost a year and have had good results. Have not had to use the included refills. $19.99 for the pair and if I remember correct that includes free shipping. 1-year warranty. The passenger side is right at 21 inches.
