Deer + 2025 Lariat Hybrid = $11K Repair Cost

Reminiscent of the recent post on the collision between a Maverick and a school bus, a deer decided to cross a major highway here in NC about 12:30 Pm on a sunny day and hit the left front of my new Lariat (6,200 miles). The deer had the nerve to get up and walk away so I did not even get venison steaks out of his collision.

Repair cost: $11,215. Not cheap to repair a Maverick!

I hit one last year in my Audi. Same thing: I went looking for the bitch to fill up my meat freezer but she was gone. This was 10k in damage

My '22 Lariat Hybrid (with lux pack, so adaptive cruise, sensors, etc.) was totaled after a similar deer collision. The more they pulled stuff off the more parts needed to be replaced and the costs eventually hit a level where the insurance company determined it was a total loss. Switched to a Bronco Sport because of how much Maverick costs had gone up, but still miss the Maverick.

I know the feeling. I'm sorry that Bambi busted your truck. My "minor fender bender" cost $9,864 and took more than four months to repair. I had less than 400 miles on the three day old truck.

Audi, expensive!

Deer suck. One jumped in front of my RAV4 a couple of years ago, caused over $9k in damage, got up and ran away. I hope it got fleas.

Thank God no airbags went off, would have been totaled.
I am sure it will be Good As New when fixed.
