I’m waiting for the parts to arrive. Then I’m going to wait to hear how other folks who had the warranty swap done before I get mine done:)

We have until August next year to complete. Unlimited miles.

I was curious why my parts folks ordered a new AC compressor belt as part of the warranty swap. Oh well, we’ll see.

Has anyone received a letter from Ford for this recall? My Lobo has a late March build date and I have not received any notification of any kind.

The belt could be a stretch belt that needs to be cut off and replaced.

No letter. Check here: https://www.ford.com/support/recalls-details/ with your VIN.

They document it as 'Customer Satisfaction Programs'

Mine is- Build Date: 2/17/2025

I'm having mine done next week.

Thanks for the link. My build date is 03/25/2025, and the recall stated build dates thru 03/31/2025, so I figured mine was included? I entered my VIN and it shows the passenger airbag disable light recall, which I have yet to have done, but shows "no customer satisfaction programs". I am guessing that means I have the correct radiator? Does anyone know how I can tell if I have the correct one or not? Below is a snippet from the link provided:

Is this a must fix or is it a Big enough radiator and fan for the 2.0? I think I read some where the lobo was supposed to have a tow package radiator and fan?

Yes, it should have the tow package cooling system.

I mean, for me its a requirement...I paid for it. And I think when I resell it, that the next owner should also have the proper equipment installed. So even if it does not directly effect me or you, the next guy may need this added cooling for his use-case.

But from a operational stand point, I don't see an issue daily driving.
And I watch Engine Coolant Temps regularly on my Forscan app.

You could probably Heat soak it in a "Track" environment, but for the vast majority i doubt they'd ever see an issue with Temps on the road.

Oil temps may become a limiting factor before Coolant.
At least that was the case on my Focus ST, especially if under Boost for long durations.

Update on my Rad/Fan replacement recall.

It took a day and a half to get my vehicle back.
I used the pick-up/drop-off service. Valet picks up in the morning (or whenever), delivers it to the dealer.
Pretty handy for me.
I expected it to be returned end of the day, but it took more time than expected.

More involved than expected.
Not sure how far it was tore down.
I did some inspecting, I do not see any signs of damage or wear in the external body panels (bumper/fender gaps). So I think the front fascia stayed on. I checked gaps and edges pretty closely in the day light.

I see obvious signs of hose clamp manipulation, normal scrapes from prying the clamps open-not damage. Nothing appears to have been disconnected on the engine block side, only at the rad. clamps. (makes sense)

I notice more air-flow and Fan noise than before.
I can see and feel more air flow..but don't have scientific data, but I suspect this fan is higher amperage/power draw.

Coolant res. is at the MIN line (while in a 'Hot' state), and may need a top up after I put some more time/miles on it. This doesn't concern me, I expect it after such a procedure on the cooling system. I'll likely stop by and have it topped up after some more time/cycles.
I'll be doing some more extensive driving tomorrow and monitor and check further for any leaks. Looked Dry and Clean after inspecting after my evening drive up and down some twisties.

I monitored Forscan Engine Coolant Temps on the way up. It looks like it can recover from a 'heat cycle' faster. That is, after ripping up hill with load, boost, and high RPMS to generate Heat in the system. Then relaxing, and letting it recover.. it seemed to bring the temps down a bit quicker. (I have some data logs to crunch still, I'll see what the numbers show.)

Great update thanks. My parts are still on order. The parts guy said an AC compressor belt was part of the swap. Don’t even know where that is located…or if the parts guy was correct.

I saw you mention that before too. Seems odd, Its an electric fan, so no belts involved obviously. Not sure what fan driven component that would require a different belt for this operation.

I think the most time consuming part of the swap was waiting for the coolant to reach ambient temp before starting.
