Curious.
What did you pay for each?
Cause I want to do the bedrug, not sure which tonneau.

Don't cut yourself short! Not an easy install and it came out great! I have only the bottom section and love it. I got mine early on and didn't see any full coverage versions at the time. If I had to do over, would definitely choose the side coverage as well.

You lost your upper slider rail system and your lower bed hooks ! I will assume you’re going to re install them on top of the rug cover ?

Had a buddy do that years ago in his pick up truck under a topper in the Florida heat and humidity.
It got damp and moldy. The smell got in the cab.

I had a Leer fiberglass topper with the underside of the topper covered with indoor/outdoor carpet over a drop in plastic bed liner.
Same weather, I never had a problem.
Was able to ‘hose’ out the bed liner as needed.
Something to watch for ?

It looks fantastic, a true custom look, not your typical stick on mod.

I got the bedrug for 429 tax and all. The tonneau I got Before I was in the forum, full price.
Nice work. How long did the bed rug take to install?
3 stinkin hours! if I wouldn't have cut in the cubby and power panel, about 1! LOL
The bolts were so hard to get started because I didn't have anything to make a clean poke with so I had to mark and cut x's with a knife and it was still a booger.

Thats a bit of time. I had mine done mainly because of the heat and humidity. I would have passed out during the install. Nice work again!!

I just did my Bedrug and about 3 of the 4 hours was those dang panels. Getting the power panel screw holes to line up with the Bedrug zipper in the way damn near killed me. XD

Yeah that mold could be one of those unintended consequences. I wonder if treating it with some kind of mold deterrent during install could help prevent that from happening. I haven't experienced the problem here in CA where humidity isn't as bad as the East Coast. You raised a good point ... as usual.

How did you get it looking so good around the power panel? With the end of the zipper right there I had a devil of a time getting mine to go back in, the only way I could do it was to get the zipper to land in front of the bottom of the panel.

Ford Maverick Gator EFX tonneau cover and BedRug Classic installed... nothing special but I did it myself! 20250522_160352 (1)

In the Caribbean weather heat and humidity, is asking for damp and moldy.
Looks good tho

something that's invisible in the picture, is the Kent sealer I used on vulnerable spots for leakage. It's a clear sealer that sets up a bit harder and more durably than silicone, and stays very clear. Working in the paint department at a Ford plant has it's benefits! The tonneau is waterproof to anything but a pressure washer sprayed straight at the seals. After I weatherstrip the tailgate, for the most part it will be as good as a trunk.

the power panel held it down so stinkin tight I used it to hold the liner together, and ran the zipper back just enough to get it out of the way.
