Old Cubby Cover-To keep or not to keep?

I recently purchased two locked cubby storage bins with that locked front cover… what do I do with the stock covers? I’d hate to throw them out

I ordered 2 new cubby's also and will be swapping them out next week. I am contemplating what I will do with the covers being removed. I am drawing a blank what I might use them for, and I can't imagine there is a demand for replacements unless someone is wanting one to do a modification for some reason. Likely they will get tossed.

I would pitch them and never worry about them again. Otherwise, you will end up with a garage full of almost new crap that you will never use again, like my Dad had when he passed away. 70+ years worth of stuff that I had to go through.

Freely getting rid of things is something I learned from my x-wife. She would get something new that she wanted and immediately get rid of the old item. She was masterful at that.
Hold on just a minute….come to think of it, I was her 3rd husband and she has a new one now.

Maybe someone has a problem with there locking cubbies and just needs a temp cover. They aren't good for anything else

I have mine in the garage, they don't take up space and you never know what you could need them for.

I did buy one of those, but I couldn’t get the combination to reprogram so I sent it back.

I replaced the latches on mine with keyed locks. No combination to mess with and no extra covers to throw away.

Bird house. Drill a whole large enough in the cover and mount it to a post - not a tree - in the yard. Easy cleanup too.
