Few questions & seeking opinions on after market exterior accessories:
1. Do you think adding exterior accessories RE: tailgate roof spoiler, hood spoiler to protect from rocks and chips, rocker panel door protectors, door handle covers etc. would they increase the risk of future water problems with paint, by storing moisture under them?

2. If your adding exterior accessories held in place by 3M molding strips, would you add them before or after using a ceramic coat? Just wondering if the 3M molding strips would still have good adhesive adhesion after ceramic coating .

I personally wouldn’t apply anything ‘after’ waxing etc. only apply to ‘untreated’ surfaces, will adhere better. But that’s just my opinion! Others here might disagree, someone always does. 🤪

Use some isopropyl alcohol to clean the surface before

Do you think adding the rear roof protector or the front hood protector for rocks and debris would trap water and cause rust? I'm torn on wether to add anything but again don't want the hood chipped up either. That's why I was thinking of putting a good wax or ceramic coat down before hand...the alcohol is a good idea though. What's your opinion on adding those items? Thanks

Isopropyl alcohol is recommended for a better cleaning before adding the hood deflector or any aftermarket deflector attached with 3M tape.
Yes, hood deflector should avoid hood chipped up.
I have a Ford OEM hood deflector on my 2023 BS BL with zero issues for about a year. I use add the Ford OEM Hood deflector to my 2024 FM Lariat Tremor this morning, so far so good!

That looks awesome. Does us seal pretty good on the back side facing the windshield? That was my concern on water and moisture trapped in and causing rust down the road. Is that Orange or that hot chili pepper color?

Hot Pepper Red for the Tremor and
Cyber Orange color for the Badlands
I haven't had any issues with rust, but it's been only a couple of years since I got the 2023 BS BL tho

I removed a 3M taped hood deflector that had been on my Canyon for a few years. I was more concerned with paint fade mismatch than rust - but there were neither. Removing the 3M tape left on hood was a pain though. Removed carefully & no evidence of deflector remained.

Never had an issue with 3M automotive tape. Waxed surfaces mostly - but wipe down with with a damp clean microfiber & a dry one.

3M red automotive tape & their blue painters tape are great inventions. Their sticky notes too.

I'm not sure about that one, the Ford OEM it's made out of ABS plastic, it's "hard" and the one you showed it's more like a rubber plastic, you can "roll" it 'cause it's "soft"
