This was your first post. Was this the date of your Hybrid Order?

I ordered my Maverick Hybrid on Aug 23rd.

This was a false positive. It was badly worded and only meant a one week pause. The following week Hybrid's were again scheduled.

My Hybrid got scheduled on 9/16 just nine days after you changed to an EcoBoost.

So the holdup in not getting scheduled was having the non-spray-in bedliner (probably Hard Drop-in Bedliner? - Late Availability) on your order and not because it was a Hybrid.

So you now have a 2020 Ranger to tide you over until your Maverick gets delivered.

What!!! o_O

You now no longer have the 2020 Ranger and now bought a 2022 Nissan Frontier that you are not happy with.

And unless you placed your Hybrid XL Order before the 11/15 cutoff date you will be waiting until next June to really have an order and then it will be for MY2023 and probably won't have it until sometime in 2023.

In a span of 6 days (Sep 8-13) you flipped from a Hybrid to EcoBoost then bought a 2020 Ranger to tide you over even though you really wanted the Hybrid. Then to make matters worse you sold the 2020 Ranger for a 2022 Nissan Frontier that you are extremely unhappy with and now again placed an order for an XL Hybrid.
I didn't realize we had an investigative reporter here in the Forum!!

LOL I was just thinking that this thread is turning into some kind of bad soap opera, and then I click to page 2 and this picture of a train wreck shows up. 😄

What do you not like about the Frontier? Is it better or worse than the 2020 Ranger?

Some people crave for attention so bad they make up stories. Not saying this is happening here but if this shit is true I’ve got some ocean front property to sell.

Never pulled the trigger on the ranger. Yeah, it's a bit of a mess. Should have just titled this post "Man on internet changes his mind." :)

Never bought the Ranger.
I guess it sounds weird all together, but in reality there weren't any complicated decisions. Had no date on my Mav, and no information from a dealer who was just as confused, had a really unreliable '97 Ranger that I wanted to get rid of and did. Got excited about a Ranger, then drove it and didn't dig it. Now have a Frontier and thinking I should have stuck with the Maverick after all. That's all it is.

I bet the one you canceled was not canceled by the dealer so they still take delivery and tell Ford, whoops, the guy said no after a test drive. Then they get 10k more from their lot.

No one cancel! You control the truck don't hand the keys back to the dealer unless he agrees to split the profit with you. Please resell it yourself it is easy.

Tell your dealer you want the original order number (which keeps your original order date). It's OK to make changes to that order as long as you have no VIN. If they say there is a VIN have them prove it to you, unless you trust car dealers of course.
My dealer used my not converted to an order Bronco reservation to have two of them built- They now just sit on the lot with big ADMS-

I think my two main issues are the 9 speed transmission and the MPG. Didn't expect MPG to be great, but I'm a pretty conservative driver and haven't been able to keep the average over 20 consistently. Can't complain about that with 310hp, but it's not the Mav. The 9 speed can't make up it's mind what gear it wants to be in going up hills or around corners. Not a big issue on my big straight test drive, but living in Tennessee and commuting daily, feels pretty rough to me. The ranger I drove was an STX and was just really loud and rode rough. Could have not been cared for, or could have a crappy set of tires from the dealer, but didn't feel great about it after my test drive.
Probably the biggest mistake in all of this is going from a '97 Ranger to any new car because any new car is going to be so much smoother and quieter than the Ranger. Should have been more patient, as many people have pointed out correctly in this post. You're right guys!

Start practicing up on those math skills!
Can't blame the math really. It's just the old brain pan that's defective.

Man oh man I am loving these I jumped ship because I couldn't wait anymore posts. This was one is the best one yet. You went out and dropped $18k more than a Maverick on vehicle that is going to depreciate in value, while you pay interest on your car loan, and then you're going to wait it out until your hybrid arrives in MY23 at an increased price over what you would have paid for your original order?

You aren't coming out ahead. I bet you cost yourself $3-5k. Unless you needed a new drivetrain I'm sure $1k of that could have kept your vehicle running until the original order showed up.
Not only that but it's been reported that Nissan is closing all of its US factories..not a good sign for resale if there is no support in the US

It didn't start as such. I was just interested in when his initial order was placed.

Then things started to get weird. Op posted here at the top that he had an XL Hybrid on order then went with the 2022 Nissan Frontier but somehow along the way the Hybrid got switched to an EcoBoost then a 2020 Ranger 4wd with 18k miles for $28,000 was then wasn't purchased.
