2025 Lariat EG Hood Treatment - WRAP IT!

I was trying to think about what I wanted for my 2025 Lariat EG Hood Treatment. It already has a hood front edge protector and I looked at all the decals and hood scoops, etc. being marketed, but nothing really appealed to me. Sorry Decal guys. Then I stopped by a wrap dealer near me and couldn't decide between Gloss black and Satin Black (really black). Then when I arrived for my install appointment I settled on the Satin Black (I wanted to cut some glare off of the hood.) but they didn't have any on hand. They offered me some Black Carbon Fiber that they did have and I really like how it turned out! The installer followed the hood rise out to each side. They use what they call a bladeless knife to trim it, and it is cut perfect! Not short on any side (like I've seen on some decals) and wraps under the rear edge of the hood.
I think it adds a new texture and look that kind of matches an area on the lower front trim and a small area behind the cab near the rear glass. Again this is 3M WRAP not a decal (I wasn't sure of my decal install ability). I think it is thicker than a decal and there was absolutely no issues with bubbles or anything else. Cost was about the same as having a decal installed. Enjoy my new look! How about the same on the Roof? What do ya think? I really want to do something with the silver on the lower front trim, but rattle can would be a lot cheaper than wrap!

Looks good. I like the way they finshed it at the top.
3M carbon-look vinyl isn't cheap. Good choice having a professional install it.

After being worker/co-owner of a vinyl business for 7 years and seeing the abominations that DIY'ers get themselves into installing vinyl, after claiming that they've installed decals before. You realize it must have been an STP decal back in the '60s.
Literally thousands of decals go out and are applied and you get the one or two who say your decal is junk because it won't stick. Or they get the backing paper wet. Let's not even talk about the ones who have ceramic coated their vehicles and then complaining the decals doesn't stick.

Automatic Car washes won't bother good quality, properly applied vinyl at all.

I gave it 2 weeks before a car wash and no issues. Bakes in the sun well here. Was $300 installed but they said they gave me a deal on the Carbon Fiber look since they didn't have the other color I had originally wanted. They said material cost was about double, but they had some left over from another job! Lucky Me!

Those guys clearly know what they're doing. People have said that the roof is quite tricky to wrap, but it would look great if they could pull it off.
The silver lowers would look good in gloss black, imo.
