This past weekend decided to put the Maverick through its paces. On Saturday it became my toolbox, work bench, and step ladder while working on my 93 Explorer.

I then turned around and completed a 400 mile road trip with my GSD, Mac, to Austin the following day going back roads and freeways. This thing is such an awesome cruiser.

Gotta admit I'm impressed.

It's definitely going to be garage kept.

Garages are nice but not necessary. I have owned my metallic gray 04 f150 for 21 years and it has never been in a garage.

My 2021 Bronco sport was Shadow black.
I needed a vehicle and it was the very first Bronco Sport in the county.
I’d also never had black. We got along just fine. Black looks dirty faster but hey that’s what the car wash is for.

Whut wus that line, I think Wesley Snipes said it in a movie,
“Once you go black you never go back”
But I don’t think he was talking about paint colors on vehicles.. :XD

Well the Maverick took is first hit on the chin. Landscaping trailer on the highway didn't secure their load properly and sent what I assume to be gravel launching into the Maverick at 70mph. Hit the truck so hard I thought something was broken and slowed down immediately. Too late. Trailer sped off and didn't get a plate.

So, I wound up with some new rock chips in the hood and two large chips in the windshield. I had just gotten it washed too. *Sigh*

Had the windshield chips repaired to stop cracks from forming and it's not too noticeable, but it's still a bit of a bummer.

Bummer, but now you can quit worrying about that first ding.
I had my first windshield rock chip at `500 miles.
Had it repaired, and it has not changed/spread, I'm over 5000 now.

Roled over the first 1000 miles and had Ford complete the first oil change. Did it need it? Probably not, but the piece of mind that the break in material is gone was worth the $100 (geez Ford, was full synth really necessary?)

Ordered the truck bed USB and cigarette outlets from MaverickInnovations and got them installed. These are going to be great when I'm working out of the back of the bed.

Not much has changed with the Maverick. Trying to keep my foot out of it, but that electric motor is so nice blasting off the line.

Hauled this home the other week. First time driving with the tailgate down, but everything worked well, just turned off the backup sensors. Still kinda surprised how much can fit in that bed.
