So this has been slowly moving along. But I feel like it’s actually a “build” now. I realized a while back that my 5’5” self could fit in the bed of the truck somewhat comfortably. So I Decided to get a cap and start my build. Had previously picked up 6 Plano storage bins for a great price from the Plano outlet. Picked up a used color matching cap a few weeks ago. And this week I’ve been cutting wood to make my raised floor / platform. Sorta struggled to figure out how to support it, but came across a post here where someone used the 3 spots for wood in the bed, and that was inspiration enough to get started. Had to put 2 wood spacers under the 2x4 cross bars to clear my storage bins, but it will work. Next get some thin plywood and do 3 sections so it’s easy to install and remove. Will probably paint the wood, or put finish on it.

I do have a camper, but I wanted a single sleeper setup for myself to get away and do some camping by myself since my job gives me so much downtime if we move a couple days around, with no pto.

Got the floor done. 3 pieces so install, take down, and storage of it is easier.
Will probably make extensions on the back corners because one of my feet barely wants to fall off towards the center. Still need to seal it and test out various storage options for me. Along with a mattress for it. But between the back seat and under the the bed storage, I should be pretty good for storage. I may look into doing a rear seat delete. But more so don’t want a seat delete to stay in, so I want to look at what taking out and putting back in the seat entails.
Also want to make curtains for it. Sew them to size and sew in magnets to hold to the window screws. Looked at doing that for the truck side windows as well for cargo privacy.

Also need to put a pull rope on the tailgate to pull it up
