I like the idea of the trim piece however for a stock piece that costs roughly $25 to mark it up to $60-75 depending on the location seems steep for some dremmel trimming!

I don't disagree.
I recognize time is money and people pay for convenience all the time.
Is there anything out there to compete .. you know ..better product/service for less?

I just ordered the part. What are the chances someone makes a digital cut-out template available in a PDF file?

I bought the NZ6Z*17F000*AB "CAP" from Ford and cut it out myself. That was the easy part. Wrestling it into place was the long pole in the tent. Once you remove the screws from the bottom edge of the bumper cover, it becomes "possible" but by no means easy. I had to make a hook from a strip of sheet metal to get the upper anchors to snap into the slots in the bumper cover. No need to install any screws on the bottom edge. That cover is going nowhere. If you need to remove it, you will have to cut it out. I much prefer the final appearance to the Mabett-style cover with the HUGE hole that works with either connector and is probably much easier to install. I've found you only appreciate something to the extent you had to suffer to get it! I appreciate this cover a lot.

I feel your pain, I made a template out of cardboard and traced it onto the part then cut it with a jigg saw and a hole saw. I found if you shave the back of it slightly on either side where it has to pass by the safety chain loops it helps it slide up into place without scuffing it and it still fits as it should. 100% agree it wasn't easy but I always hated the look of that area around the hitch, it looked unfinished and now it looks like it should have when it left the factory. Totally worth the time it took for the improvement in how it looks.

What do you mean you had to shave it back a little? Do you have any pictures or a better way to describe it the location?

In the diagram the main U shape is cut for the receiver, the arrows point to where I shaved down the plastic flanges on the back of part approximately an inch on either side to allow it to slide up between the eyelets for the safety chains at the bottom of the receiver more easily. Also after you take the bolts out of the existing bumper cover find something to slide in behind between the bumper cover and the main hitch bar to hold the cover a couple of inches away from the bar so you don't have to fight with it while you slide the new cut trim panel up into place.

Thank you
My stock cover is to arrive Tuesday. What is the best way to get the template just right and not mess up the trim piece?
did you cut cardboard to the exact shape and size of the blank plastic piece?
Any suggestions are appreciated!
