The Rough Country Hard trifold tonneau cover is appealing due to it's price and functionality but it looks like it creates an issue on models that have the flex bed rail installed (picture from Rough Country's website).

Can anyone with this option installed confirm if the clamp creates an issue with sliding the handle?

If so, can the knob be replace with a shorter bolt to clear the handle or how did you fix the issue?

Thanks in advance for the replies. I like the cover but don't want to lose half of the sliding rail.

I just ordered the TC Flip-Up cover. Didn't catch the potential rail problem. Hope it really isn't a problem.

I installed this cover you have plenty of room to bottom of cover but can only slide between the mounting clamps

That's good that you have space to move between mounting clamps but I'm looking to be able to utilize the entire rail.

I have the Ford version (MX4) and have the shorter clamps mentioned by HRG.
No problem with interference.

Did you purchase these separately from what came with the top or where they an option when ordering?

I emailed rough country customer support and they do not offer shorter clamps to allow full usage of the rail.

Thanks, I bought a set of the clamps below. Fingers crossed that they fit.

Carona, did these end up working for you with the Rough Country Flip Up Tonneau? If not, did you find anything else that did fit and work as you intended? I just ran into the same problem. Thanks!

I haven't been able to test it yet. My Maverick ordered was scheduled for job 1 despite me asking the dealer to hold for job 2. They ordered a new job 2 Maverick that's being built this month. It looks like it would work but obviously can't confirm it yet.

I ordered them and just tried - didn't seem to work as the slot on the side of the bed they slide into doesn't accept the shape of this clamp vs the stock clamp - I can't say I put a lot of time into messing with it to figure it out, but I was worried that they would damage the rough country rails.
