I have a ‘23 lariat with 23k miles. I am about to go to the dealer for a second time for this issue. The steering wheel airbag cover is splitting along the break line. This is the same exact spot the previous one split at 10k miles. Anyone having a similar issue?

A dry cloth and a duster. The only cleaning agent that has ever been on it is whatever they use at the dealership.

No issues with mine. Does the truck sit out in the hot Houston sun or is it garage kept?

🤔hmmm.... The OP needs to have that replaced by Ford.
I feel it was a bad part. Possibly a bad molding at improper temperature for the plastic. For some reason the plastic didn't flow properly and ended up being thin in that area.
Car parts are made and tested to extreme temperatures.
Last year, here in the desert Southwest we were at 117° and regularly over 112° ambient outside temperature. That means the temperature inside was around 150°. I had no damage whatsoever to the airbag cover on my steering wheel.

I’m going to have it replaced, but as I stated, this will be the second time in 20k miles. Same part same place.

Yeah I realize it's your second one I read your first post.
In reality the vendor could have sent 10, 20, 30,000 of those defective covers to Ford. Your second one was just another one out of those batches. It sucks.
I have no idea if there's any way to tell in advance whether the cover is bad or not.

No but never gets above 90. It is definitely a defective part.
I'm they are defective parts.
Yes folks even replacement parts can be defective.
If mine hasn't cracked sitting 24/7 outside in 112° to 117° temperature..
God help us if our Mavericks have to be kept in a climate-controlled garage, when we're not driving them. In order to keep them from falling apart. 🙄
