That's how I'm leaning, someone posted the polished silver on black elsewhere and it looked awesome. I don't think the darker letters will contrast enough to pop.I think the polished letters would do better
I used Windex on my F-350 two years ago. They are still as nice as they were then.BTW the soapy water doesn't affect the adhesive long term?

The Windex lasts more than long enough to get the letters perfect and dries great.
