Got my new rims and winter tires. Hard to find steel rims with the right center bore and back spacing. Went for DAI cosmos rims, which are the exact specs for our trucks. Michelin X-ice snow SUV tires.

I'll probably be doing something very similar. Real snow tires are always worth it.

It’s never a problem of getting going, or usually even turning with AWD. It’s the stopping, or ice, that makes it scary. I’ve learned the hard way and always put real snow tires on all my vehicles now. A/T look nice, and are snowflake rated, but they don’t like ice….

I’m in southern Ontario, went to a shop locally, this is their website http://unauthorizedperformance.com/ I didn’t get a breakdown of each cost, they bundled the rims, tires, TPMS, and wheel nuts in all as one. Installed with tax I was around $1600 CAD.

DAI wheels are carried by other tire shops as well, I think they’re fairly readily available. They spec’d the rim size as a bronco sport and flashed the TPMS as if it’s a bronco.

I live atop of a hill & have been using winter tires on my 17 escape since new. 2 wd & eats through 8" of snow like nothing.

OP, do you have specs for the rims? Are they 17x7.5 with ET 42 offset? Or are they 17x7 ET 37.5?
