Hi All,

First post, been lurking for a while. As the post title states, I left my stock truck in my driveway (Nor Cal) for over 9 weeks while I was out of the country. Weather was a mix of heavy rain, some freezing temperatures and highs in the 60's. I didn't do anything special to it prior to leaving (probably should have). In the middle of the trip, the ford app reported that it lost connection to the car due to entering battery saver mode. I got back yesterday expecting the vehicle not to start. To my surprise, it started up without issue. Drove fine except it gave me a change oil warning. Oil was changed shortly before I left for my trip. I'll drive it a bit longer to see if this warning persists. Just wanted to report my experience.

Hey that's good to know. I think that's a great example of what the battery saver feature is actually designed to do. Unfortunately for many of us it too often denies us the proper functioning of the remote features by activating way too early. Not to mention the absence of interior dome lights etc. If my vehicle would go 4-5 weeks without battery saver notification I would be ecstatic. Even three weeks would be acceptable. Just not every single day as is currently the case. So good for you and thanks for sharing.

we have battery saver on our Mav - the problem with battery saver mode - is the interior lights do not turn on - so you fumble around in the dark until you get the key in - does anyone have a suggestion?

(we have a FY22 Mav and i get irritated with the truck going into battey saver mode- we drive the truck fairly regularly - but it still goes into battery saver mode. It is cold out, so it would be nice to be able to start inside the house)

Welcome to the "battery saver mode" club There Mark. Search the MTC for threads on this and you'll be scrolling aplenty. You can drive your Mav till the CVT blows out and it will not make a difference for the state of charge on your 12v battery. We all pretty much have to deal with this until the supposed software fix becomes available. In the meantime, realize that you can remote start the vehicle from your key fob.

You should disconnect the battery if gone that long. However, the truck will automatically go into deep sleep battery mode after 14 or 15 days of not being driven.

Yes, it was reset by the dealer and all was normal prior to my trip.
respectfully, I doubt that. I'd check the interval remaining and guess that it will match up to not being reset.

You are correct! They didn't reset the Oil Life Indicator.
