Just took possession of my vehicle and had included the rear locking vault in the original order. However, I am now being told that that is not an option for this model but with no specific reason given. Does it have anything to do with the double row of battery packs with the AWD hybrid?

Is this supposed to be a vault under the rear seats? If so, that has never been offered.

They do offer a small vault that goes in the center console, though.

For 2024 and earlier models, they offered a center console vault for the front and a larger one for under the back bench seat.

I have never seen a rear one offered. Perhaps I am wrong, but I think you might be confused. I have also never seen anyone post about it on this forum.

I stand corrected! That thing looks pretty cool. I imagine it also is put on that driver side because the engineers knew the passenger side back there would have the 12V battery and they didn't want to make two different models of vault.

So, to OP, if it fit the previous Mav, it will definitely fit the '25 in that same position.

agreed. no change to these underseat storage areas in the '25. the bottom of the tub is the floorpan in the truck and that would be a massive thing to change, so they won't / haven't.

Go straight to Console Vault. I have installed one in the console of 2 different vehicles with no problems. They are pretty easy to install. I will be adding one to my Mav when it gets here.

Here is a thread from July 2024.
The thread may also help you source one of these outside of Ford

just a couple of reminders on these console vaults. they cannot be reset by anyone if you forget the combination so make real, real sure you have that written down somewhere 'safe'. :D

second thing is that you can extract the entire vault without a lot of difficulty if you don't care about doing massive damage to the interior of the truck, which obviously thieves do not. if you use a long fireman's crowbar, you can lever these out in seconds, either the center armrest or perhaps even easier this unit because it's installed in the plastic tub liner.

they are better than nothing, yes. like anything with security, the best security is when people don't know about it. do not let anyone see you using it.

What are you talking about - there's no extra battery pack with AWD - same size HVB.
