One of the reasons I bought my Maverick is that it is easy for me to get in and out. I wouldn't trade that benefit for a non-functional subjective improvement in the "look". Mine looks pretty cool as is.

Well, that's a matter of opinion. I think they look stoopid. But that's my opinion. LOL

Expect to get your pants leg muddy when getting in/out of your truck. Unless your truck's a pavement princess and never gets muddy.

I did they made it harder to get in the truck. Took them off!
