not just members here, but my mustang6g guys ordered mustangs from there happily, same story. Unbearable volume pricing

so once I started seeing granger name here, I ordered. I’m excited. Saving almost 3k vs local
Nice. The price quote almost seems to good to be true. Compared to other Dealerships quotes including X plan. Given the good price I know it's pushing but we're you able to use the Mystang Club $500 discount on top of it?

since they are a high volume dealer, if they are bad/was bad, we would hear a lot more negatives. they are churning out these orders. not just mavericks but mustangs etc. I think ive seen one bad review, and it was a paint defect in the vehicle itself. but yeah, mistakes happen. in that situation, it'll be ford repainting it wherever he is at.
I agree. When I first checked with the BBB the ratings were very concerning. But, most complaints did not relate to the purchase aspect. Then Goggled a bit further and found ratings on other sites that looked much more acceptable.

I paid $20 dollars, for Illinois farmer bureau few days ago, after 30 days, I can generate a code that gives me $500 off.

so my savings will be, 2200 off MSRP + 500 farmer code and $200 additional savings, as its 180 doc fee at granger, vs 380 doc fee local dealer.

so I will be netting 2200+500+200 = 2900, but then 198 plane ticket (dayton airport to granger) and prob 50-100 in gas way back. thats still 2600 savings, I could pay for the 7/100k warranty and still have 800 leftover after.

WORTH IT

im not one to give away my money, and it was a lot of collective reading that I put money down on granger, I assure you if I had a doubt, I would of stated it, but they was very nice to me in communications, and they have a rep here on the site additional, so yeah, my dealers locally suck, and ridiculous pricing. so went ahead and YOLO it'

buy this $20 membership- granger accepts the 500 coupon. you just need to make sure you are a member at least 30 days before you pick vehicle up, basically, I bought membership a few days after my order, since its good for a year membership.

Wow, almost identical plans! My first concern was purchasing from Granger as you saw from my initial posting. Looks like from these responses Granger is the way to go. I'm in Concord (less than a mile from Concord Mills Mall) looking to head out from CLT as well. I had the same question and inquired as to how long one has to pick it up......looks like you need 3 to 4 weeks to get a decent airfare. 30 day notice would work out well. What airline is that flight on and roughly how much? That looks like an ideal time to leave and arrive. I did some quick checks and they were in the $400 range. Hopefully with a good lead time there is something out there around $250 or less without 3 stops I inquired about airport pickup and was told the shuttle runs until 5 pm .
My other request was to pick up after the snow/ice season. Thinking that maybe May. Given that figured I need to pursue an order now with the lead time on builds. Who are you dealing with at Granger?.....and do they require a deposit? I am not that far along yet.
Sounds like if yours is in build now maybe it will be at the Dealership in March maybe? Good luck! Let me know how the experience was as well as the trip home. I have never been up that way so was thinking of maybe staying in LeClare, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Knoxville, and maybe Asheville. 4 hours of road time is about all I cam tolerate these days.
Small world, just up the road from there myself.

Right now i'm looking out into later February and if you catch the right day there's a direct AA 11:58 (eastern)-1:28 (central) flight from here to DSM for around $160-250, but that's basic economy so if you're making a larger trip of it and need luggage that might not work!

Still planning my route because I don't want to necessarily go all interstate for the whole break in period thing everyone talks about on here, and not sure if I-40 will be back open so planning around that a bit. But definitely getting more excited about the trip. Between the 3% under invoice and the $180 doc fee, i'm saving easily $2k even factoring in that I'll lose the tax advantage for trading locally. Local dealers here are so so bad.

That is something that we are almost in the same neighborhood! I would be getting excited at this point as well now that you are in build! I like that flight info you provided and will certainly be looking into seeing if it is available when the time comes. I'm guessing you maybe getting a call in a month or so then for a pickup date so you can schedule your air. I plugged Granger into Waze and they did not come over the mountains on 40. Guess it still must be closed although I thought I read a few weeks back that a temporary fix would be in place shortly. Not sure if those plans have changed.
You sure are right about the Dealerships around here. Those I have checked all want to add the useless VIP pkg for anywhere from $500 to $1500....and then another $800 to $1000 for doc fees! Makes the trip to Granger very well worth it to save those fees not to mention the additional savings on the price of the vehicle.

Well that's encouraging to know they take the Farm Bureau discount on top of that. I'm here in NC and went to the FB site to sign up. They have a form to fill out and once you submit it they indicate they will. contact you. I submitted it twice now over a week ago and have not heard anything. Was hoping I could just go online and submit it and get an Id# so the 30 day clock would start. Maybe I can join one in another state ..... not sure if that is allowed but I will have to check into it.

I called them, after, they dont do anything after. I was validated/verified. she said everything's good to go! your account will have access to the code generation in 30 days. (I called Illinois farm bureau)

I chose cook county, but then I used dayton ohio etc just make sure your name + address on your sign up is correct, that is what matters when time to verify/use code.

the Illinois thing is what everyone here does. in ohio its like 150 bucks, Illinois is 20, and thats it dont need an address to actually be in Illinois

I have 3 weeks left or so, I will generate a test code to see if it works and such, I guess you can make 5 a year so it doesn't matter for me to waste one as a test

how so? they saved me 2300 off my car, and its 200 additional off on dealership fees. your dealers must be super competitive.
..how did you do that? I called less than 2 weeks ago....am I missing something here?

all I did was go to ford, build my maverick, and I sent the build to [email protected] asking for a quote.

or just send an email saying
25 maverick hybrid awd
blue/green/red etc
4k tow
tonneau tri fold hard

etc add your options, and ask for a quote / dora.

he will reply with your quote and such. thats all I did.

he shot back with that pic I posted of my purchase, I took that quote to local dealers, to get a fair comparison, they laughed me out, said pound sand. aint happening. few days later I contacted chip, said lets do it.

thats strange.

first off, granger is

invoice - 3% off.

be aware, he may of been talking about inventory on lot, only pre orders get this discount. that was a complaint I read about, someone drove all way to granger, expecting to get a maverick off the lot, to find out, it isn't discounted like on here, because only pre orders/custom orders get the special pricing, otherwise they are just a fair dealer with inventory on lot.

Definitely worth it! Since I was not having much luck with my home state of NC called SC and joined and got an ID number, no problem. It cost me a bit more at $40 but still well worth it. i guess the 30 day clock will start today.

Agree with others about Granger and I bought from them in 2022 with no issues and yes they had an airport shuttle. The best my dealer here would do on a 25 was $1300 (OTD) more than Granger. Looking at a plane ticket, 2.5 days on the road, 2 nights in a hotel, food and gas plus winter time I decided to pay my dealers price. At the end of the day I consider it a wash plus my odometer will say 30 not 1300 miles when it gets to my garage.

I will give Granger a big thumbs up for doing what they say and no added fluff or mumbo jumbo double talk. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. 🤞
