Installed the OEM bed rail and the Diamondback SE cover. I got it on by myself, but having an extra set of hands would have been nice.

Oh man, those DiamondBack covers are nice. I was looking at them the other day. They seem bombproof. If I had the money, I'd grab an SE in smooth black with the cleats uninstalled.

Looks great!

That's the same cover I'm planning on getting. I'm also looking at mounting t-slot rails to it to be able to mount cross bars when needed. If there are any tips or tricks for installing the Diamondback please pass them along.

A second pair of hands will be helpful. I also think I overtightend the center section. I mushed the rubber pieces down pretty far, and the assembly has a small V shape. The directions said 5-10 ft/lbs. The clamps were still moving around, which made me uncomfortable, so applied bomb loader torque, and I may have overdid it. The whole setup is very nice. DB did a great job. I recommend. Just don't let me install it. Lol!

I have had my FoMav DB SE for 24k so far so good. I also crushed down the center section. It is very secure. Good stuff.

I reset the clamps to the directed specs and the weatherstripping popped right back up. I have a friend coming by later to put so pressure on the access doors so I can snug them down a bit more to hopefully stop what water did get into the bed.

I'd like to have one, but it says, Not available. I don't know if that means they don't have any made, or they don't make them for this vehicle.

Perfect. Are the can full of loose ammo (aka heavy as heck) and it’s handling it well? I’m considering a 270 cover so I can access this slightly better but not sure if I’ll need to drill into the body at all. No instructions for the maverick on their site.

I did drill 2 holes per side to better mount the cross bin. Yes loose ammo, heavy yes…with no problems. 24k miles so far with the DB products.

i can handle the holes on the side but I think with the 270 I’ll need to drill into the bulkhead to put some angles to let the lock grab. I’ll need to call them tomorrow but if that’s the case, I might end up with an SE.

any chance your cover is not water tight? I thought my diamond back was but discovered a nasty odor in the back. there is a bunch of mold under my bed rug. Water has been leaking in from somewhere. I think I will lay in the back with a flash light at the next car wash to see if I can figure it out.
