Just sharing my recent install of the @WOLFBOX G900Pro mirror/dashcam. It took me about 2 hours for install, and I'm very happy with how it came out. I pulled a lot of inspiration from this thread (AUTiger83's Install). A lot of good information and ideas there. Just sharing for anyone else interested in this camera.

So far I'm very happy with the performance. Video quality is great, rear cam virtually eliminates blind spots in the rear. G sensor is a little touchy, I live in Pittsburgh, PA and the roads aren't the best. A few good bumps and potholes set the recording off, but other than that it's been great.

My rear window is tinted, but so far it doesn't seem to affect the view too much. I haven't really got the chance to see what it looks like at night yet, so unsure there. Hope this helps out!

How did you route the rear camera wires to the front mirror. I was hoping to push them from the rear straight under the headliner to the front overhead console. Let me know if thats what you did. I don't want to emove the headliner. Thanks.

That's pretty much what I did, I tucked the wire up under the edge of the headliner on the passenger side of the truck. I did pull the top of the door sills out of the way to make it easier, as well as the passenger side A-pillar, which was also needed for the power harness. Just be extra careful not to obstruct the side curtain airbag. You want to keep the wiring on the outside of the airbag, never obstruct the path of deployment. It was a bit difficult towards the A-pillar since it had to change direction and squeeze under the bag, but I found a safe spot. The wiring for rear camera is extra long, which is good, but I had a lot of excess. Neatly zip-tied it up, and tucked it behind the B-pillar trim, again being mindful of the airbag and seat belt mechanism.

I thought the wire could be fished straight down the middle of the headliner. Maybe a fish wire carefully pushed under the headliner. Then tape the wire to it and pull it back through. Don't want to risk side curtain airbags getting compromised. Hope it will work but just not sure. The headliner is not glued in so not sure if there is a slight gap between the underside of the roof panel and the headliner. Thanks for the reply.

That could work in theory, as long as you don't have a sunroof. There aren't many obstructions in the roof otherwise. You would just have to be mindful of the rear interior light, and the wiring and such around the overhead console.

Call me uneducated if you will, but I have a couple questions.
So, you've got a rear view mirror with an attached camera. Is the camera doing the job of what your eyes would see in a regular mirror? I would assume that with the camera the difference would be a wider view and it's recording, no?

It is a wider angle view. You get less blind spot but things are definitely closer than they appear.

So I'll say this, having a video feed out the back window vs a traditional mirror takes some getting used to. You get a MUCH wider view of the rear. I can actually watch a car pass me from the camera, all the way until they're actually in my peripheral view. It's quite amazing! Cars always look a lot further away than a traditional mirror, which again, does take some getting used to. However, you can zoom in which does make things look a little more "normal".

Yes, the cameras front and rear record all the time as well.

I also want to note that there is pretty much zero latency in the video feed, so it's pretty much real time, which is great. You can also pan the view up and down, so if you have cargo in the bed you want to watch, makes it super easy, at least in the position I installed it in.

I have one. This one is two channel. Channel one is a front facing camera built into the "Mirror." The second channel is the rear camera, and that is what is normally displayed as the "Mirror." I mounted my rear camera under the outside third break light as the camera itself is water proof and can be mounted on the rear licence plate if desired.

Ok, so the advantage is a wider view and it's giving you recorded footage. Makes sense. Thank you for the clarification.

Thank you for sharing this! Nice work(y)
I suggest that you can set the sensitivity of G-sensor to low or event turn that off.

My question is related, but not right on target with the device you are using. About 3x per week I transport my gravel bike to a ride site in the bed of my 25 Maverick Lariat hybrid with the tailgate down. I would like a second back up camera for these local trips with my bike, but it's not a big enough deal to mess with wiring, etc. I just want to stick a wireless camera somewhere pointing back that sends the image to my current display or even to my phone. It's something I would use only when backing up with the tailgate down. Any ideas out there for a simple solution? By the way my rack is a Ride 88. Thanks!
