You can change zoom on rear camera to make it look more traditional. You can mute it if you turn the volume off. Yes, display always starts on rear view camera/ last setting.
I've been tooling around with Forscan a bit, really loving the customization possible for a lot of aspects on the vehicle. I've added cruise control, auto stop/start disable, ST loading screen for the radio, Ford Performance MyView, and TSR recognition enable. I see a lot of options for...
Recently had all my S/W updated for the recalls, as well as a few other modules that had updates. Changes cleared from the BCM and IPC, re-enabling cruise control was a breeze. My switch settings in the SCCM remained as they were, ABS module was unaffected as well. Everything working as before.
Latency is pretty good, I haven't noticed any real delay during my initial testing. Screen brightness is totally adjustable. I haven't had the chance to do some serious night testing yet, some twilight testing, which seemed fine.
So I'll say this, having a video feed out the back window vs a traditional mirror takes some getting used to. You get a MUCH wider view of the rear. I can actually watch a car pass me from the camera, all the way until they're actually in my peripheral view. It's quite amazing! Cars always look...
That could work in theory, as long as you don't have a sunroof. There aren't many obstructions in the roof otherwise. You would just have to be mindful of the rear interior light, and the wiring and such around the overhead console.

Just sharing my recent install of the @WOLFBOX G900Pro mirror/dashcam. It took me about 2 hours for install, and I'm very happy with how it came out. I pulled a lot of inspiration from this thread (AUTiger83's Install). A lot of good information and ideas there. Just sharing for anyone else...
I own a 22' XL that myself and another tech had enabled cruise control via Forscan and the appropriate switches back when it was pretty much new. I have every recall open involving PCM and BCM updates and was wondering if anyone had any issues when doing these updates? I read that later BCM...
It was time for a new set of tires, and I scored a great deal on these Nexen Roadian HTX2's. I was looking to try a white letter tire so it worked out perfect. Just sharing for the catalogue. Wheels are 17x8 +40 Black Rhino Boxer. I do like the way these look, and coming off of Falken AT3W's...
