Today, I completed installing a 12” amber light bar to the lower portion of my front grill. My intent was for the light bar to serve as a fog lamp. Although having moved to northern Alabama several years ago, I have yet to experience fog here. If I’m truthful with myself, I just wanted to add another mod to my Maverick.

Three items I have found of immense utility in completing my interior and exterior mods requiring 12v current. My interior mods (MPH HUD, front dash cam, ambient footwell lighting) are all hardwired and drawing power from a four port USB hub located in the forward center console.

The forward exterior lighting (under the hood mounted LED strips as engine compartment work lights, under the front hood lip 50” LED strip with dynamic startup, a pair of 3” LED pod ditch lights, and the 12” amber LED light bar are run to a firewall mounted control box for a six gang switch panel. The switch panel itself is mounted to the cabin overhead sunglasses console.

In the rear, I mounted a four toggle switch panel which includes 12v and USB power ports and a volt meter in addition to the switches. Current is drawn from the Ford supplied power takeoff plug. For now I have my truck bed LED strip lighting and a pair of under the bumper LED pods wired to the switch panel.

Everything was accomplished utilizing a single fuse tap on the passenger footwell fuse panel. I went from the unused 1-2-3 fuse location out to the engine compartment control box to provide accessory switched power. A single line passes back from the control panel up to he ceiling mounted switch panel. I couldn’t come up with an easier way to power my mods. My next challenge - installing a 10” under the seat amp subwoofer combo!

That is hard to answer. I picked up my ‘24 in Feb. I immediately began to transfer most of the accessories I had in my earlier Mavericks to it. Most were just drop in’s. Other items required additional effort, including dismantling the DIBL to drill out mounting holes and such. My wife would tell you that I have spent eight hours a day, seven days a week since getting it “playing” with my truck. The truth is I have tried to do a little on the truck most days when I found some free time. Alabama in the Summer heat and direct sunlight is not exactly conducive to getting a lot done outside. So, I have finally completed all my initial planned projects. Now it is a question of seeing something become available that I want to add to the mix. There is always someone else giving me a new idea, or a seller introducing a new accessory.

Same over here in Arkansas. An air-conditioned garage is ideal in da South.

If you are asking about the hub and switch panels, I can do that this evening with screen shots. I have owned three Mavericks. Each has been subject to long lists of accessories and mods. You might want to do a search for my user name and take a look at my older posts. As I recall, for one of the previous Mavs I attached an extensive multi-page source list.

Temu - For whatever reason, when I moved from the four port to the seven, I got glitches. I recommend staying with the four port USB hub.

Nice job! One day I want to do something similar once I am able to get the fog lamps from DD.

I’m curious. Does your switch panel have a separate control box, or is everything wired directly into the switch panel. It appears you have several wires in the back. Mine has a single connection between the panel and the box making it easy to hid the wire.

Interesting layout. Reminds me of climbing into a glass cockpit C182.

It has a relay bank behind the rear seat that I made up. The panel is only good for 1 amp per channel . It’s a FENIEX 4200

I still have one more project for the front end. I have two 3” LED pods like I used for my ditch lights to mount to the front grille work. That will fill the open capacity of my switch panel. I initially planned and purchased toggle switches I was going to have to mount into a hole cut into a dash panel. I can’t believe how much easier the pictured switch panel and control box were to install. Definitely, the way to go. Good luck with your own build.

I actually installed a large window unit into my two car garage. Unfortunately, it is too full of my woodworking tools and storage cabinets to move the Maverick in. My answer is to move the truck always keeping it in the shadows when I’m working on it.

You gotta love the push to trip inline fuse. I use that for my amp 👍. Nice job and can't wait to see your 10" sub
