New Ford Blue Oval Logo Ditches Chrome

I thought the Ford logo looked a bit different in videos from last night's F-150 reveal and this confirms it. I like it. They were overdue for a branding update.

Funny how we view things differently.

If the new one is on the right, it's cleaner, bolder, designed to integrate with the plastic around it. I prefer the one on the right.

I believe Ford Authority said that it would be illuminated like the current Ford accessory emblem.

On TFL’s F150 reveal video it’s a slightly brighter blue and white and they said the white is slightly raised. I guess it is kinda retro but it looks cheap to me.

Yeah but flat blue and white works better when it's backlit, which is all the rage these days.

It's a subtle change that most people probably won't even notice. Back in 1966 Henry Ford II almost made a major overhaul to the iconic logo but ultimately changes his mind.

I notice some of the ovals on older vehicles that are totally faded by the sun.

You think Ford will try to address that issue?
Or are the newer ones more resistant to fading?

They just look ugly when faded.

Should be chrome. Looks more like war era script though, that's cool.
