Finally got some better photos of the front-end lighting setup on my Maverick, so I figured I’d put together a full post showing how everything came together.

This setup has been something I’ve been slowly working through with F150LEDs to see what can actually be adapted cleanly to the Maverick platform. Since the Maverick does not have the same lighting support as the bigger Ford trucks, a lot of this has been test fitting, checking mounting points, figuring out wiring, and seeing what can be made to work without making the truck look overdone.

Current front-end lighting setup:

The biggest part of this setup has been the lower intake lighting. Previously, the Maverick lower intake option from F150LEDs was based around the 20” Paladin -light bar, but F150LEDs and I have been working through the fitment to see how a more fully integrated Maverick lower intake MKII setup could be dialed in even further.

The lower bar actually fits the Maverick front end really well once the positioning is figured out. The main thing I noticed is that bracket sizing matters a lot. For the Maverick lower grille area, the bracket base ideally needs to be around 1.5 inches wide so you can avoid cutting into the lower plastic supports. Keeping the normal bracket height and using the three-hole mounting style worked well, with the middle hole being used for the bar itself.

Once mounted, the bar sits really clean in the lower intake and gives the truck a much more aggressive front-end look without needing a bumper swap or anything extreme. The wiring was definitely the more time-consuming part, mostly because I wanted everything routed cleanly and not just thrown together.

The Spartan MKII hood lights have also been one of my favorite parts of the setup. They add a lot of usable side/front lighting while still looking clean on the hood line. The amber backlighting also ties in really well with the rest of the front-end lighting.

For the roof, I’m running the 42” Paladin MKII bar in Hyper Optic Yellow. I wanted something that matched the amber/yellow theme and helped the truck stand out without looking random. The color works really well with the rest of the lighting, especially at night.

I’m also still playing around with the amber lighting side of the setup. One idea I’ve been messing with is using the amber backlighting more like a chase/signal-style light rather than just a normal accent light. I think that could be a pretty cool direction for the Maverick community since not many people are experimenting with chase-style lighting on these trucks yet.

Overall, I’m really happy with how this front-end setup came out. The Spartan MKII hood lights, 42” Hyper Optic Yellow roof bar, and 20” Paladin MKII lower intake bar all work together better than I expected. It gives the truck a completely different look in person, but still keeps it clean enough that it does not feel like too much.

I’ll keep updating this thread as I get more photos, wiring notes, install details, and video clips together.

Huge thanks to F150LEDs for helping me design and willing to work with me on testing this setup and seeing what can be done for the Maverick platform.

I like it. Some people might say it's too much (boomers mostly lol ) . I have Putco Blade DRLs with a similar startup animation. I showed them to a boomer, Ford truck guy, coworker and he wasn't impressed. I don't have any photoshoots to share but here is a Ring capture showing my DRL setup.

I like it! I obviously don't run all of the F150 Led lights always. But late nights open road I will turn on at least the bottom light bar and sometimes the hood lights just for the ditches.

Noice!!! A similar setup has been taking up space in my brain since I got my Mac... Getting the incentive to take action now...

That’s exactly how it started for me too lol. I kept looking at the front end thinking the Maverick needed more lighting options, especially compared to the bigger Ford trucks.

Honestly, the F150LEDs stuff has been super solid so far. The Spartan MKII hood lights are probably one of the best first upgrades because they actually add usable light to the sides/front and still look really clean. The 20” Paladin lower intake bar is also a huge difference in person once you get the positioning right. It gives the truck a way more aggressive look without needing a bumper swap or anything crazy.

One thing I’ll say too: the wireless controllers are a must-have. I’m really glad I went that route because I did not have to run wires all the way into the dash or pick a permanent switch location. It made the wiring side way cleaner and easier, especially with multiple lights.

If you’re thinking about doing it, I’d say start with either the Spartan hood kit or the lower intake bar. Those two made the biggest difference on the front end for me.
