Leer topper 100XQ sport came in way early. 8 weeks. Total cost was $5100 tax and installation. 😳 but it looks damn good on the lowered Lobo!

Optioned out with a pop out front slider and roof hooks. Roof hooks were an extra $250.

Leer dealer: comes with lifetime warranty and keyless lock.

Ford dealer: comes with pop out solid window, 36k 3year warranty that matches trucks warranty only. Not able to build out any options. Price with tax and installation was roughly $5200.

First impressions:

The bad:

  1. Stock Hatch height blows. (UPDATE: I installed a 15” strut off Amazon Udated Strut just had to adjust the bracket angle to make it work. I’m 5’7 and I can almost stand under it now. No longer an eye poker or head bumper for me.)
  2. Rear visibility kind of stinks now
  3. Def lowered the truck almost 1/2 inch
The good:

  1. Headlights from cars behind at night are very dim that I don’t even need to flip the mirror anymore
  2. Keyless lock is an amazing feature
  3. Truck look level now, I’m on Goodwin Progress springs
  4. The lining matches the bedrug.
Overall: it’s not quite as nice or sturdy as my old 1998 camper on my last F-150. But being able to pop out the cab windows and side screens is a huge plus to cleaning them.

Will post later about strut modifications and what might be needed as well as fixing the light since it requires turning it on manually.

Leer, Outstanding !
Excellent fit and finish !

That right there is a perfect example of of the old saying, ‘You get what you pay for.’

Back in the early 90’s we used to pay about a thousand for one of those.
They were carpeted underneath and not once did it ever come loose.
In the late 90’s they were about $1,800

Inflation sucks.
All companies charge ALL that the market will bare. They all used to compete for your dollars.
Then a company like Leer goes for top quality. It works when you’re the best out there.
Don’t think I ever saw one fade even after ten years in the Florida sun.

I need to grab my reading glasses!
The first picture looks as a Chevy Suburban to me!
Sweet ride! I like the blue color matched

That's awesome!!!! Love the Look. Leer's design and quality is just unmatched perfection and the bed rug is a perfect match to finish it all off.

I love that Leer top.
I think your post is the first for a Lobo with this top and it looks fab-u-lous!

I'd love to see the other Lobo colors with this cap .. but in person some day.
The color matched wheel fender flares for the win!

Looks awesome! The cap is very similar to mine although I do not have those handy roof tie downs. I'll take a look at mine, the hatch does open low but I feel it opens little more than yours? 🤷‍♂️ also what's the keyless lock 👀
