Height adjustable ladder bed rack install

This is Ladder Rack Model C1918V04, also available from Trumgeta. Very impressed with the quality. I did re-cut the M8 threads of the bed rail clamps as they had paint in them. I also cut 7” off the crossbars to make them fit the look of the Maverick, as this rack is sold as suitable for F150 and Silverado.

I am very impressed with the manufacturing quality and sturdiness of this rack. It’s not going anywhere.

I had looked at that rack and love the quick adjustments, but the lowest setting is about where I'd want it at it's highest and it only goes higher from there. Do you see anyway to modify the height without needing to re-weld?

You can gain about an inch if you leave the adjustment knob out altogether. It would be secure enough.
I agree it would be nice having the ability to lower it further, maybe for looks or for a bit more fuel efficiency when not in use. But as I have it it clears the roof just enough to carry some two-by material. You wouldn’t want it any lower for that. I threw on a piece of trim to illustrate it just now.

At the height you are showing I don't know why I'd ever need to adjust it any higher, maybe an inch more to clear my stubby antenna, but I would like to adjust it to below cab height and just clear my Leer when folded up:
