What does Ford say is the problem

?

They have only said it is due to a chip shortage and there is no ETA. My truck is essentially built. I am waiting on one or more chips for it to be deliverable.

I thought they supposedly didn't go into production until they had all of the parts.

That would make some level of sense to me. But that is not the case. It would also make sense to me to do it this way if they had a firm timeline on how much time post "production" it would take to get a missing chip. But by all accounts they have absolutely no idea when the chips will arrive, which is mind boggling to me.
