Yeah that was one thing I noticed too. You actually can wire/control the flood and spot sections separately if you want to. I just combined mine because realistically I never run only one pattern by itself anyway, so for my setup it made more sense having everything come on together.Unfortunately, I don’t see any indication that the light bar is road legal. Also wish that you could control the flood/spot lights separately. I have the JJC brackets, but still looking for a cleaner fog light install on my FX4.
As for legality, I basically treat it the same way most people treat auxiliary off-road/driving lights — mainly for mountain roads, camping trips, trails, dark backroads, etc. Definitely not something I’m blasting at traffic
Honestly though for the FX4 specifically, I think you’re in a really good spot because the tow hook openings make installs way easier than on my truck. I could definitely see a cleaner fog setup paired with something like this working really well.
