For those who haven't received their Mavericks yet.

It may be a good idea to have a backup plan in place. Specifically having a reliable vehicle of some type that can get you through a few years if needed. Why? Russia moved on the Ukraine and if China follows through on attempting to retake Taiwan, The worlds supply of chips will dry up for who knows how long. US chip capability is still a few years from being self sufficient. Hopefully common sense breaks out and all will be rainbows and unicorns, But I wouldn't bet the farm on it

I am one of the few that didn’t trade in. I have my maverick but I also has my old faithful. If one doesn’t get me to work or to the hospital in an emergency the other will.

Thanks OP for the sound advice. Redundancy is key these days.

The current geopolitical environment is not going to do anything to alleviate supply-chain disruptions. And as much as we all hate inflation, I see no end in sight.

While you're looking for that "reliable vehicle" to get you through a few years, might want to make sure it gets more than 10-15 mpg too. Imagine what sustained, $5 or $6 gas prices would do to the value of full-sized trucks and SUVs.
