I noticed on the Wellvisor website they mention both 3M tape and clip-ons used for installation. And the install video shows adding protective tape where the clip-ons would contact the door. From their pics it looks like the clip-ons are just small extensions on top of visor, are they used just for alignment at top of door or do they actually clip unto top of door?

Additionally, any pics you have of them installed on your Mav would be great! TIA
They are just used for alignment against the top of the door. Doesn't clip on or secure onto the door.

The fit is perfect and quality is great. They do cover the top of the door frame and go all the way to the rear door frame. They do have a slight blue tint to them under direct light. Close up pictures on Amazon is accurate. It shows a blueish-purplish color. The EGR visors had a brownish tint to them if you want to compare.
Unless you get the mat black ones, which make my Oxford White Mav look good. You can't see through them at all, which is exactly what I wanted. I am not tall enough for them to block my side view. :)

Received and fitted the inset EGR visors. They are matte black and wrestle them in for a great fit. Only thing is the visors overlap the mirrors on the installation side. Not sure i will be keeping them for this. Thought about the Dremel too.

I've had matte deflectors on a previous vehicle. They were a lot smaller than the ones on the Maverick and stopped just above the mirrors on both sides. They were AVS and for a Tacoma. If you were to Dremel that out on the EGR ones I'd take this route but it may not be worth the effort:

You'd also have to use some adhesive on the outside of the lip around the edge as you are losing a bit of structural support at the base which helps keep them in place and from shifting. I added some to mine anyways since they didn't have it and there was a small flex creating a gap that caused wind noise when I rolled the window down even just to crack it. Wind noise is not something that had bothered me ever before but it did with the EGR setup on the Maverick until I added adhesive.

But on mine, I have 15% tint on the front and the added "smoke" wind deflectors makes it basically matte from the inside lol. Doesn't bother me that much. Just add some blind spot mirrors and you'll be fine or return them for the smoke ones.

The matte finish is definitely not transparent like the smoke version that you can see through and prob live with. Thought using the blind spot mirrors and do have a pair. Returning the EGR matte dont want to mod and regret some structural issues.. Thanks for the feedback

Are the EGR visors worth getting? Seems it is a hit or miss on the install. I saw the same complaints on @mazon.

I have had the EGR black matte since I got my truck and I don't find it blocks my side mirror enough to be of concern. I can still see everything I need to. The only thing it would impact is you want to try to look at yourself from inside the car. Just my opinion! They are a bear to install, but once you get them fit and your vehicle sits in the sun for a few days. Like a ball in a glove!

I love my EGR black matte, imo they go perfectly with the matte black trim around the windows. I didn't have any problems at all installing them. The first two window rollups did kick back down due to resistance, after holding the button while going up the third time, the windows did seat normally. Each time afterwards they seated normally without issue. Their directions say to roll the windows up at least 5 times and leave the windows in the closed position for 72 hours. For my driving position, I do not have any blockage on the drivers side mirror, I do have some minor blockage on the inner most portion of the passenger side mirror but nothing to the extent that would cause issues driving, changing lanes, etc.

I just installed the EGR matt black. No issues, windows went up without a problem. I did remove the EGR logo, it didn't take much effort 😁
So far, I like them! They really look good with my tinted windows.

I'd recommend getting WellVisors for stick on visors. The quality is great and they look sleek. I'm happy with them.

I am curious if you still have these? Still like them?
Also how much of the visor can be seen from inside the vehicle?
A photo from inside would be awesome, but a guesstimate would work as well.

Still have them and still love them. About 2 inches of the visor can be seen from inside the vehicle.
