Hey Folks!

Brand new to the forum, I placed an order for the 2022 Maverick First Edition AWD on 6/20. Does anyone know if the FE AWD models will be produced earlier then other models or does ford just do first in first out processing of these orders?

Really wanted the AWD but thinking going with the ECOboost 2.0L is going to delay my delivery quite a bit once production starts.

Thanks

Rapid Red, the color of FE, is a later availability item.

For the Bronco Sport and big Bronco, they didn't make the First Edition first. It was basically just all the goodies thrown into a package for buyers who wanted everything selected, and built in whatever order possible for the factory. Considering Rapid Red is a late availability item, I think that'll hold true for the Maverick as well.

The way it looks so far, the question should be:
”Will the First Editions be produced?”

So far I haven’t seen any indication of any being scheduled for October.

So far looks like a safe bet few/none are scheduled before November.

I wonder if the reason FEs haven't been scheduled could be either the graphic decals, or the black painted roof. Every other FE feature/prerequisite like moonroof, 235 tires, lux package, etc have been on scheduled vehicles.

It would be nice if Ford would tell us, so we’d know not to get our hopes up every time scheduling rolls around. I wouldn’t cancel my order, but it is frustrating that there appears to be no communication about why this particular grouping is not being included in the scheduling.

Correct....I'd just want that knowledge so I could decide whether to change to a non First Edition or not.

Hey, maybe the November emails will be all First Edition! 🤣
