So, I was sitting here thinking about how those many trucks sitting at the plant waiting for chips, but here's the thing. Some are getting delivered, right? I'm assuming a certain set of chips are transferable between builds. Maybe not all of them, but certain a bunch are.

Why would they pick shipping a vehicle which rolled off the line today vs taking those chips from those pickups and putting them in the unfortunates sitting on the lot? Why not Frankenstein for chips? The whole waiting lot could be a First In, First Out kinda thing.

Or, were these pickups waiting for chips victims of a Frankenstein scenario to get more Broncos off the lot?

The mind is dangerous wishing for delivery of the pickup.

While there may be some of the same chips in different modules, those chips are soldered onto different circuit boards to do different things. It's further up the supply chain than the factory building the truck that you have to direct the chips to the right places to keep everything moving.
