Where to tap tweeter wires?

Going to be starting on my three-way set up in the next week with an 8-channel amp and I'm not wanting to run new wires all the way up through the dash. Where are you guys tapping for the Tweeter wires to run directly to an amp?

I probably don’t have the answer for you but am curious where are you placing the amp. I assuming behind the rear seat? I also don’t this for a fact but I’d guess there is a chance it is pre-wired to the back like for the B&O systems. Not sure if they run different harnesses on build based on configuration or not.

The door and the tweeters are wired in parallel. You will need to run wires up to the dash for the tweeters, but can use the factory wiring for the door speakers. The dash is very open and easy to run wires. You will need to run wires to the back for input signal anyway. You will also want to disable the factory EQ in ForScan.

I’d like to know this as well. I’ve already installed my tweeters to the factory wiring but will be changing my kicker key 200.4 to biamp mode. I’d rather cut into the factory wires to the tweeters as opposed to removing the tweeters to run all new wires. Does anyone know where the factory tweeter wires come down under the dash to splice into? Thanks!

first of all, the OP was from 2022 and went unanswered for almost 3 years until @RAnSD619 was apparently searching for something and decided to reply here.

regarding bi-amping, that question is answered in #3. do not re-use the factory tweeter wires unless you have B&O.

the reason is that B&O is bi-amped from the factory, and the non B&O systems have a split somewhere under the dash in a harness that no one has found or spent much time trying to find. just pull the end covers from the dash, remove the factory tweeter, and run a new wire to your tweeters whether they are 3 piece or traditional 2 piece components.
