I've three questions:
  1. What's a good place to tab into the speaker lines for one of those powered Kicker subwoofer boxes?
  2. Should I tap the front or rears - or does it not matter?
  3. How do I know what cables I should be tapping into; is there a wiring guide available?
I've done the installation on a 23 Maverick two years ago but I've since swapped it with a new, 2025 Hybrid, so things are a little different.

Awesome, thank you! Where's a good spot to tap into them?
On my 24 I tap them at the connector to the ACM behind the HVAC controls. For your 25 I'm not sure if it's in the exact location since there's no longer HVAC controls.

I have a 25, and I already went down this road. It's the same as the 24 and below, use the wires from the head unit behind the a/c. You can even use the same wiring harness instead of splicing into the lines manually, that's what I did. The harness is a bit pricy, around 100 bucks, and I sort of regret not just soldering instead.

Oh, good to know! Were the wires the same colours as previous? I did install the unit in my 2023 so I have a rough idea of what's involved. I had used wire taps that you just crimp and twist. Hard part was finding the right wires and how short the bundle was.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's the same colors. I think I checked both that and pin position when I used the harness.

Why can't you tap into the rear speaker wires in the rear of the truck?

It's been a while, but if I remember correctly the rear speakers don't get the full range of the audio spectrum
