Just don't use the 3m emblem adhesive. Impossible to get off if you want to remove it.
Agreed that it is hard but dental floss behind the emblem will eventually saw it off in a minute or so, then some find rubbing compound will complete the trick. But 3M Emblem glue is tuff stuff.

I have an MR2 Spyder that the emblems on the rear fell off. I replaced them using the 3m emblem adhesive. Well they fell off again. Now leaving a hard glue on the surface. I even contacted 3m as to how to get the stuff off. They did respond and said no way any solvents would work. I am going to try one of those eraser wheels but will most likely need the bumper cover painted. Wish it stuck to the emblem as well as the car. No car washes just fell off.

My guess as to the Maverick badging is because this version is the same concept as the original Mav. The original Mav was 1,900.00 advertised as an afordable family car that is easy to fix and anyone can afford. Other than the easy to fix part the rest sounds awful similar.
I would have liked Ranchero tho'
It could have been worse they could have called it a Pinto!

@OP First thought was the bed rail trim so you're not busting up paint but just plastic. The grill flair looks nice as hell too though, so if you go grill with one I'd go somewhere on the tailgate (again trim imo) or lower rear bumper to match the front grill (front/driver + rear/pass)

Or Mache E should be "Thunderbird"- which kind of goes with the Lightning (electric) theme...
Purist may have been mad about the 4 door. Plus it does leave room in the lineup for a sportier EV based off the Mach e. Like a GTish type car.
