Well, the info below plus two cents is probably worthless to use to buy anything plus maybe not even worth two cents but here it is anyway.
In the end I do think it was kind of Ford to give the Private Offer to buyers. Plus what they did prior…thinking free upgrade for those that wanted 4k package but only a 2wd order that Ford then changed to 4wd (I think) for free to those buyers.
My dealer in Florida does not charge a dealer fee so if you want to know the name just PM me. Don’t know if it is fair to post their name otherwise in fairness to them since it was a process to get the private offer sorted out. Bottomline, they went to bat for me and it paid off.
- On a lark, I ordered the Mav XL hybrid.…thinking back around 9/21. Never come across a deal I could pass up if it felt good enough. Had a 2nd gen honda ridgeline (not great mpg) and never really needed the full bed nor felt the under bed storage was great (sure others that own them think it is the cherry on top).
- Changed from XL to XLT, still hybrid trim, cause I wanted basic, at least, cruise control. Did not want to spend more then what a XLT would cost though did get rear sliding window (does not block the view so much one would not want it I feel for the price. Co-pilot 360, a must have in my book. Once you have it you will never not by something without it I feel. Great safety feature. Also did rear hitch and 100 watt in cab plug.
- Fast forward and still no truck as of Oct/Nov of 2022. Later got word of a rebate aka private offer from Ford for EB and Hybrid.
- No truck as of 12/31/22 though it was built that month then in time it was on its way…wait not,..wait yes. Finally showed up in Feb of 2023
