My father has waited since January for his Maverick. It's just getting ready to be delivered to the dealer from the rail yard. Once a month I checked in with the Ford chat for him to get a status report. Not once did he ask me about anything since I told him it was in high demand and he knew about the supply chain issues. It seems more like you want to be coddled and made to feel special. It sounds more like you just have a terrible dealer which is not Ford's problem since they are independently owned. The Ford chat and phone lines are easy to use. I would say if you want info, get it yourself otherwise as a "marketing professor" you should be able to make your own deductions as to why it's taking so long to get people the Maverick they ordered.
I, and if you have been on this site for than past year and a half, you know that many others want the truth about what is going on with our orders. Simple. The truth. No BS, no made up stories and no silence. Only the truth. Supply chain issues have become an excuse. Not a truthful reason, in all industries. So, as a former marketing instructor, a good business tells customers the truth.

Agreed. There are many members here who ordered 9/15 - 9/21 who are scheduled, even with constrained items who were not rollovers.

I don't get it, other than how the dealers may have entered the orders. I think rollovers should have been priority 10 from every dealer and Ford should have been able to see and confirm that, new orders like mine should have been priority 11 or higher.

No dealer should have been able to take a 23 order until all non-built 22's were verified with the ordering party. That's not a whole lot of work and would have prevented loyal customer from feeling shit on.

False statements, made up stories, whether on the 23 or 22 model years are wrong. Simple. To say that false information given to customers is ok, is just plain wrong. Customers have the right to the truth, nothing more and nothing less. Communication with Ford Customer Service is better than in 22, but still, the lack of information is just wrong, and does the one thing a customer service dept should not do: aggravate customers.
I think you have a seriously different idea of the situation and life in general. I sincerely hope it all works out for you.

So please clarify: who and what entity believes that honesty and integrity are not of primary importance? Just so we all know who has those beliefs.

I hope for a 24; not sure I can last for a 25. On a positive note my CX-5 will be paid for in 25!! Also by 24 a lightening shouldn't be too much more than $100K (entry trim that is).
Toyota is bringing out a small pickup in 24. Don’t know if it is a hybrid

Wuh? Let's say they are making 100k 2023 Mavericks. You think they will make and sell less than 49k or less from January 2023 to December 2023, and will then make and sell more than 50k 2023 Mavericks, in 2024?
No idea

Well, with all due respect, the question was posed to the person claiming the belief that the ''average wait will be over a year.'' But nevertheless, you DO have some idea. You know that they will not be building 2023 Mavericks in late 2024 (which would be necessary for the posit to be true).
I was referring to the wait for a hybrid. Ecoboost would be much quicker. They are far over their intended capacity for hybrids.

Don't buy the Supply Chain excuse 3 years after COVID. Three years of Supply Chain excuse is a bit much....
As a small business owner I think your assessment of the supply chain issue is very wrong. Here is an invoice I received last week from one of my distributors.

For all of you newbs here who think that Ford needs to get their shit together it isn't as easy as you think.

Look at the order date versus the shipped date.

Well, I was told by my dealer that a lot of us will never see the 2023 Mavericks we ordered. Even if we ordered the first day. Talking about Hybrids.

Almost choked when I saw that BFG invoice. The only thing I am surprised is that half of it isn't marked 'backorder'. LOL

I can come up with a number of reasons, some external issues, others internal.

It was backordered.......FOR A YEAR AND A HALF. Look at the dates.

All these newbs on MTC seem to think they can do it better though....as if they have any clue on what it actually takes.

Funny about the arrogance of some people, thinking they are experts just because they have been in MTC for some time

People saying that supply chain issues no longer exist live in a parallel universe that I'd love to know. Supply chain issues haven't stopped. They may have gotten better in some instances, but they have not even come close to stopping.

As a business owner, supplies are much more scarce IF you can get them at all (and if you can't, then you have to find an alternative solution) and most have literally doubled in price. There are many products that I used to use on a regular basis that I can't get any more-- at any price. I have to work much harder to take in less profit than I used to, largely because customers aren't wiling or able to pay twice as much for what I offer. I'm so sick of trying to re-order a product to find out that the price doubled... then spending time trying to locate the same thing for a little less.

I can't remodel my kitchen because half the parts are on backorder... and lumber costs are insane. I'm holding off some overdue projects because they will cost me 3x more to take care than they would have in 2019. Hell I can't even get my regular "staple" groceries on a consistent basis any more.... and that's all twice as much too.

Employee retention has become a huge issue too.

I'm as tired of it as the next person, but unfortunately the problems are still a reality that we will have to live with for years-- the fewer, the better.
