So Monday I picked up the new ride. Really enjoying it so far. Odometer read 13 miles, it's at 270 now. Had some mods to knock out right away.
-Toff Liner bed liner yesterday. Good quality, good price.
-My wife and son wanted the tailgate assist, so got the Deezee. The bottom plate/nut is a pain, tighten down as much as you can while still turning the jut 90 degrees is the tip. Also you need a T50 torx bit for the tailgate bolt.
-Truxedo TS Rails and Truxedo Pro X15 cover. My wife got then for me for Christmas. Install was fine, did as project with my son along with the assist. Happy with how they came out.
-You can see my Red Heeler supervising the process.

Looks like the supervison was taking it easy while overseeing the project. Great looking truck and glad you posted. Enjoy it.

I installed my Tailgate assist and now it takes a good 45 seconds for it to come down, did I install it wrong?

Mine doesn't. But it's also 70 today here. I hear it takes a while if it's cold.

If the temperature has dropped below freezing after you've hard warmer wet weather that can happen. Even just condensation on the strut that freezes can slow it down if there is enough.

If it's happening and it's above freezing, that might be a little odd. To be honest I've never timed how long it takes normally.

Additional mods today: a hitch cover ( not really a mod but I like it) and bed divider. The divider is two 2x4 cut for 54 3/8", sanded, stacked. Thinking of putting a shorter third board on top of the second for more height, but for now it works. My rolling rotomolded cooler fits perfectly between the wood and tailgate.

Loaded up the fishing gear. I didn't get the bed management rails, been thinking of it. But the tonneau clamps work as decent tie down points, doubt I'll take the cost/effort. Got some tie straps and bungees below the floor of the bed cubby. Really liking the storage and setup of this truck!
