After 16 months, my Maverick has finally arrived. I would like to get a bed mat for it. I have read a lot of the threads here and been to a lot of sites. Currently I am leaning towards the WeatherTech Impactliner. Before buying though, I have a few questions. Perhaps someone here who has one can provide answers...

1. What material is the liner made from? On their site it only says "injection molded material".
2. The mat appears to be flexible. Is it as flexible as rubber?
3. Is it heavy enough to stay in the bed at highway speeds (80 MPH)? One install video has a couple of half-globe fasteners, another just has it being rolled out (no fasteners).
4. Does it lay completely flat during all seasons (hot and freezing weather)?

I posed these questions to their support staff via email. The person responding did not know and referred me to their web page for the liner (which does not contain the answers).

Weather tech stuff is a rubbery plastic like compound, basically the same stuff as the all weather floor mats in most modern vehicles. Starts out nice and semi-soft, and as it ages it gets a little harder and less flexible. Tough stuff from my experience, but not with this exact product, since was release for the Maverick just a few months ago. No idea about the weight as a result.

I have the weather tech tonneau cover and the impact liner. I put them on last month.
The liner is rubbery and flexible. It has two attach points. I didn’t install them yet since I have the cover. You’ll have to cut out the areas for the bed’s d-rings. They have them marked and it cuts easily.

I did end up buying the WeatherTech tonneau cover and impact liner.

I am pretty satisfied with the impact liner. It fits well and keeps stuff from sliding around in the bed. They could have done a little better job around the two side panels that open. The liner overlaps them just a bit. Overall, though, I like having the lip go up the sides a few inches.

The verdict is still out on the tonneau cover. It does look nice and secures the truck bed. However, the side weather seals do not fill the side rail grooves. The first time I washed it, quite a bit of water went into the bed. The side rails are clamped down pretty tight (maybe too tight), so I don't think it is an installation issue. I have since put some sealer in the grooves under the cover. I will have to see if that helps.

Another issue with the tonneau cover is the lack of a drain for water that collects between the rear window and the tonneau cover weather stripping. It seems that it could have been designed a little better to let that water flow into a drain on either side.

I also wonder about the bare aluminum on the underside of the panels. My truck is parked outside. As the weather changes, am I going to see condensation forming there?
