I placed an order for a '24 but was sad with them discontinuing this color. Azure gray is close but it's not as appealing to me. So, in the wait time I'll have for my '24, I'd love to find a '23, or '22 hybrid in Area 51 instead. I'm flexible on year, model, and options, but it's gotta be < $35k $31k. Been watching all the online car sites, but I'm exhausted from getting dicked around by dealers listing customer orders on sites (cars.com, autotrader.com) as though they're available for anyone to purchase. What a waste of time.

Wow, thank you to everyone that messaged me, got a half dozen msgs in 12 hrs since I posted this! Those responses have shown that I should probably be more specific, so here goes.

• I want to buy a vehicle that you have. If you don't yet have it, msg me after it arrives. If you have reasons where you really want to find a buyer before it arrives, I'll consider it if you're very upfront with what you paid and very reasonable with what you're looking to get.
• The title must be in-hand, and that means any loan is paid off before the sale.
• I'm not eager to pay top dollar for a truck with any open recalls where there is no idea what the fix is or when it will arrive. Specifically, the engine failure that causes fires scares me. But I would consider it if you're very reasonable with what you're looking to get.
• I understand that it's a seller's market at this time and I have no issue with compensating someone who had super human patience to wait more than a year to get their vehicle. But if I wanted to pay Carvana/Vroom prices, I'll buy it from them for the ease of purchase that their pricing includes. They have the vehicle, they have the title, it's mine with a few clicks, they'll deliver it to my door, and they offer returns.

Sorry, that does sound oddly specific and even a bit demanding. But in return - I'm able to act quickly (ideally showing up in person within a day or two) and the funds are available.

It's not Area 51, but I have a 2022 Hot Pepper Red XLT Hybrid (title in hand) that will be for sale soon. It has 22,000 miles on it and CP 360, XLT Luxury Package, 300A, and Trailer Hitch Receiver w/ 4-pin connector. I will be selling it because I have 2023 with a September build date. The side curtain airbag recall is active because my dealership does not have the parts. When they get them, the work will be performed. It had been a month since I posted my wanted post. It's almost become part of my daily routine to check the forums here as well as all the typical forsale sites. Thought I'd found the one (right condition, right options, semi-reasonable price) a couple of times but it just hasn't worked out. The search has also reinforced my opinion that the average car dealer is a massive tool. I'm sure there are good ones out there, but there are way too many bad apples spoiling the bunch.

Anyway, I reduced my price threshold above since market prices have been falling recently (I've been most surprised by Carvana's price drops, actually). Anyone get a quote to sell to them recently that they later reduced? I'm curious.

I ended up purchasing an absolutely pristine 2023 XL in Area51 w/ 1700 miles on it from a couple in Washington for a price we were all happy with. Flew out there and drove it 1600 miles home.

Car dealers who tack on mandatory add-ons or have a huge "market adjustment" can take a flying leap.
